... on my talk page! Best wishes.  DDStretch  (talk) 17:18, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

I can understand why you might feel the need to take a wikibreak, I have a 1001 other things to do in real life not to mention this dismal ongoing event. As you will see, the drama with Fone4My continued for a while, but I am still monitoring the situation, and may well take further action after further examination of evidence concerning other possible socks.  DDStretch  (talk) 21:51, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
ps: Good luck with your exams.  DDStretch  (talk) 21:51, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I wonder if you'd be interested in a fascinating discussion on G2's talk page? By the way, Voyage of the Damned has just been shown here. In the words of Comic Book Guy, 'best episode ever'! Cheers--Gazzster (talk) 01:37, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Great Hunger

Hi, you participated in a recent straw poll at Talk:The Great Hunger on a possible name change. Most of the editors that participated in the recent polls were invited to participate in the most recent, but as far as I can see you were not. Your opinion should still be heard. The editor who opened the new poll said this to the other participants. "This is a friendly notice that I have opened another straw poll, this time to find the names that editors are most opposed to. If you know of anybody who did not vote in the last straw poll, but who has an interest in the name debate, please feel free to pass this on. Scolaire (talk)". Regards Wotapalaver (talk) 13:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

PS. The poll closed 36 hours ago. The result was move to Great Famine (Ireland). I posted friendly notice to everybody who took part in this poll (you didn't) on June 18, but Wotapalaver apparently "didn't have time" to pass it on until just now. Confused? I sure am! Scolaire (talk) 15:45, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps that article should be called The Great Confusion; because I sure am. GoodDay (talk) 20:26, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

I mistook

the posting about Richard Cromwell as coming from you. Which is why I commented thus. Gazzster

Boogie Rock AfD

Hello, I'd be grateful if you could look at this again in light of the references added. Thanks BoogieRock (talk) 20:38, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

SirGoodDay??; it just doesn't fit, for me. PS- Why haven't you added the Sir to your moniker? GoodDay (talk) 21:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
If Charles ever ascends the Commonwealth thrones; his mother might outlive him. GoodDay (talk) 21:15, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Time will tell. Speaking of Will & Cate; should they marry & have children, is there any signs in Parliament of the succession becoming full cognatic (William's eldest child being next-in-line, regardless of gender)? GoodDay (talk) 21:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Respond

I suppose I addressed your message to me but I do not received any explanation from you or I did not respond you? (cantikadam (talk) 13:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC))

Cheers! (cantikadam (talk) 14:02, 16 July 2008 (UTC))

Sorry

Hello Cameron. I would like to apologise to you for allowing you to back me up when I should have stopped you. I should have kept my temper and let it go over my head, I'm old enough to do it, but on this occasion I was'nt smart enough. I will be staying away from British and British Isles articles for at least 6 months, so hopefully when or if I come back to it I can be seen in a different light. Again, sorry. Reverted edits

Hi. In this edit you "corrected" "its" to "it's". You were mistaken.

You also deleted a sentence as "repeated", but the sentence was not duplicated anywhere in the article.--Srleffler (talk) 15:29, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Since I'm not a native speaker of the English language, I'm always glad, when someone corrects my mistakes. Thanks! :-) --ChrisHH (talk) 20:44, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

U R Welcome

Glad I could help. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 15:26, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Coronets?

I'm confused... Why are these on my talk page? Have I forgotten something? Prince of Canada t | c 16:47, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Ohhhhhhh. Coronet 1 is a representation of an earlier one--not sure whose. Coronet 2 is the heraldic representation of the PoW coronet; the current actual physical form of the coronet is irrelevant in heraldry. (And, FWIW, the current one--Charles'--is hideous!) Prince of Canada t | c 21:24, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Absolutely.. I respect where they were trying to go with the new one, but they missed. Horribly. Prince of Canada t | c 21:42, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

RfA

Thanks for the advice :) I have already had admin coaching and I'd rather avoid it again if I can, I don't really want to be trained in passing an RfA but rather train myself in becoming a better prospective administrator. I can probably do this just by getting general better experience in AfD and other weak areas. Thanks again for the advice, hope all is well :) —CycloneNimrodTalk? 19:54, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Nah, Pedro was originally my coach until he gave up the idea, I guess it kind of rubbed off on me. I just think that i'll benefit more from finding my own way around than being coached. I support Pedro's idea of mentoring, however, which can be found here. This is more a system of 'go-there-when-you-need-advice-on-an-issue' rather than having someone watch your moves. It's less of a coaching system and encourages you to find your own way around if you can. —CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:28, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
You seem to have got yourself a very good coach, by the sounds of things. Anyway, to return the kindness you've shown over the past few days with the RfA support etc, i'm now watching your page and you're entitled to an article-review should you so wish for one at anytime after 3rd August (when I return from my break!) Just drop me a line if you need anything :) —CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:38, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, sorry! My mistake! I'm watching this page :) All the best —CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:52, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Cameron - I wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten our earlier discussions about images related to this article, some of which were copyvios. I've had the chance to look at everything and the definite copyvios have been removed. In discussing this with some Commons admins, it became clear that it would be nearly impossible to demonstrate that images of the paintings were copyvios, so I don't think anything more needs to be done there. Just wanted to close the loop on this issue before I archive it. Best, Risker (talk) 17:59, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Afd of Once A Champion

You added an opinion on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Once A Champion. I wish to inform you that I have added more films to this AfD. Regards and happy editing. --triwbe (talk) 17:36, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Cullinan Diamond

Hi Cameron, To avoid an edit war I want to point out that in my view when you name "Elizabeth II" you are in fact implying that she personally is the owner. There should be a way of succinctly naming the State/Monarchy/Nation/Crown - as the owner. I'm not familiar with the exact legally correct term/definition for the institution which actually is the legal owner. Roger (talk) 18:14, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Awww.

Many thanks, Cameron. That was very kind of you! Prince of Canada t | c 01:52, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
