Taking A Break..
[edit]Recently, I've been making edits on pages that I thought would help. I wanted to help build information for the Bazzi page. However, others now say that I'm not able to copy EVERYTHING that is said. While, I don't agree with this rule. I can see why it's important. This week has been rough for me on this site. People like Dianna, SS, and others have been warning me. I'll try to change my ways on this site, when I come back. If I do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrDen (talk • contribs) 02:42, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Red Roses (Lil Skies song)
[edit]Wikipedia takes copyright violation very seriously. You must not copy and paste information from a source into an article as you did in Red Roses (Lil Skies song), but must instead use your own words. I see that Dianna, SS, and others have been warning you, and I am sure you can conform to Wikipedia policy if you make the effort. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:26, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi BrDen. I've noticed that you've been attempting to make Girls Like You (Maroon 5 song) into an article through new page patrol as has at least one other user, Hzh. It seems like you might not be aware of wikipedia's guidelines around notability for music. These are the guidelines that help us decide if a song should have its own page or should be redirected to the artist or album. Right now there doesn't seem to be indication that this particular song meets those guidelines on the article page. So if you desire to recreate the page, please indicate how the song meets the notability guidelines with a sourced citation. This will prevent you from getting into an edit war, which is frustrating all around. Let me know if you have questions. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 15:19, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Heads up
[edit]First of all, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your work on Christian Wikipedia. Editing articles and scouring for sources to make a page credible can be quite timely. I wanted to give you a heads up about music charts. According to WP:Dependent charts,
Charts are frequently related to one another mathematically. For example, the Billboard Hot 100 is derived by weighting positions on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, the Billboard Hot 100 Sales and Digital Songs, and the Billboard Hot 100 Streaming Songs. This means that in the vast majority of cases, any song that charts on the Billboard Hot 100 can be presumed to have charted on both other charts, and specifically mentioning the position will simply clutter an article.
This would also apply to the Christian music charts, so if a song has charted on the Hot Christian Songs chart, then the Christian Digital, Streaming, AC, etc. charts don't need to be included, unless the song hasn't charted on the Hot Christian songs chart or charted low on the chart, but charts highly on the other component charts. FanofMusic (talk) 18:00, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Updating peaks
[edit]Hi. When updating discographies to note that a song has entered the Hot 100 after being on the Bubbling Under chart, please make sure if you're removing the Bubbling Under reference that it's not used elsewhere on the page—and if it is, to move it there. You updated the peak of "Lie" on NF (rapper) yesterday and by removing it, left the Bubbling Under ref un-defined on the page. It is still used directly below for the Bubbling Under peak of "Why". Thanks. Ss112 06:40, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

The section was too crowded that I wanted to remove the extra charts from the United States and only include international charts. It seemed kind of messy and I wanted to organize it better. If there is something you wanted to keep like the b-sides, go ahead and add them back. BrDen (talk) 22:02, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Redlinks
[edit]It is ok to leave redlinks to articles so long as they are likely to be notable, as per Wikipedia:Red link. In fact, the encyclopedia grows because people react to redlinks and create articles. [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Fowler High School (Michigan), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Two things. It's up to you to add sources when requested and you cannot replace the information without it. See WP:BURDEN. Second, content is decided by consensus, not verifiability. Just because something is true doesn't guarantee it will be in the article. There are guidelines for school articles which say we only discuss the highest achievements of any school. Since this school has won state championships, we do not discuss losing state championship games (ie, runner up). Last this is a collaborative project made up of people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. This isn't Facebook. Referring to one of your colleagues here as "bud" is never appropriate. John from Idegon (talk) 16:21, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
John from Idegon. Not discussing losing state championships games? Then, why is there still a section for state runners-up, regional, and district? You want me to fix that too? Read the source for the 2019 Track Championship and you will see that Fowler came first place. Why remove it if it's true? How much proof do I need to give you? For the 2017 Volleyball Runner Ups, go to the site, scroll down, and there it is. Either way, I will fix the citation. Just look on the site closely and understand why I used it.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Yellow Claw discography does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:BrDen, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:32, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for adding the Top 50 Hot Christian Songs of the 2010 decade to the articles! I started the article Starry Night (Chris August song) and noticed your edit on my watchlist.
