Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ankylosaurus into Ziapelta. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 10:59, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi! Sorry about that. I meant to attribute it (if I could figure out how) but I forgot. Thanks for pointing that out.Borophagus (talk) 09:59, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
When editing articles on living people, familiarise yourself with WP:Biographies of living persons. Thanks. Hemiauchenia (talk) 01:49, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Juchipila Formation, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Arroyo and Calippus. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Copying licensed material requires attribution
[edit]Hi. I see in a recent addition to Ueekenkcoracias you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 14:41, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't actually copy text from it. I copy-pasted it into the article so I didn't have to switch back and forth, and so I could rewrite it. I accidentally kept some of the text in one of my revisions, though.Borophagus talk 08:10, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Azilestes you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Casliber -- Casliber (talk) 03:21, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
The article Azilestes you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Azilestes for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Eremotherium
[edit]I think you did a great job translating the Mylodon article. The Eremotherium article, which is also much more expansive in german, could do with a similar translation. I would be happy to help with copyediting. Thanks. Hemiauchenia (talk) 19:17, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! I've not been active on Wikipedia for a while, but I'd be more than happy to help with translating when I can. Borophagus (talk) 19:28, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
