Ru Chih Huang article snafu

Dear Bennv3771, Thanks for moving my article, which I had intended to create in a sandbox not on the live encyclopedia. I'm taking a General Fellows class and I do not know how to use DRAFT so I deleted the material and will put it in one of my sandboxes correctly this time.LLMHoopes (talk) 14:49, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

@LLMHoopes: No problem. Remember to add "User:LLMHoopes/" before the sandbox name or whatever you create will show up as an article on Wikipedia instead. Bennv3771 (talk) 15:02, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Riverdale (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Hi,

I am requesting to retrieve the data from a recently deleted article, Bronze Cooley - YouTube Personality, so that I can improve upon it.

Thanks,

@BCOOLEY: Hi. I am not an admin so I cannot retrieve your deleted article. You can make your request here: Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Bennv3771 (talk) 13:20, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

I got to say, I appreciate you flagging it instead of coming to me directly.

Thanks @Bennv3771

Sincerely, BCOOLEY (talk) 13:29, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

@BCOOLEY: My Bad, you cannot request undeletion at the above link as your article was deleted under WP:CSD A7 and WP:CSD G11. Since you've already contacted the deleting admin, you can try asking for it to be emailed to you. It will however, not be restored to the mainspace. Please read the Wikipedia criteria for speedy deletion and the notability guidelines before creating an article to spare yourself the frustration of having your work deleted. Notice of discretionary sanctions

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Les Misérables (2018 minseries) listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Les Misérables (2018 minseries). Since you had some involvement with the Les Misérables (2018 minseries) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. far right terroism

Wikipedia claims to have a neutral point of view, yet from what I`ve seen, they always talk down to conservatives and bring up liberals. Also, they said that racism against white people isn`t real when it indeed is, so I hate to say it but Wikipedia is not neutral and is in fact very biased. They also Refuse to admit that sexism against males exists when it does, as a matter of fact I couldn`t even stand being in certain lectures at college because of feminist professors and their discrimination against male students. But Wikipedia prevents me from telling the truth about modern society. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.92.110.190 (talk) 07:19, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.13 18 September 2018

Hello Bennv123, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

The New Page Feed currently has 2700 unreviewed articles, up from just 500 at the start of July. For a while we were falling behind by an average of about 40 articles per day, but we have stabilised more recently. Please review some articles from the back of the queue if you can (Sort by: 'Oldest' at Special:NewPagesFeed), as we are very close to having articles older than one month.

Project news
As part of this project, the feed will have some larger updates to functionality next month. Specifically, ORES predictions will be built in, which will automatically flag articles for potential issues such as vandalism or spam. Copyright violation detection will also be added to the new page feed. See the projects's talk page for more info.
Other
Moving to Draft and Page Mover
  • Some unsuitable new articles can be best reviewed by moving them to the draft space, but reviewers need to do this carefully and sparingly. It is most useful for topics that look like they might have promise, but where the article as written would be unlikely to survive AfD. If the article can be easily fixed, or if the only issue is a lack of sourcing that is easily accessible, tagging or adding sources yourself is preferable. If sources do not appear to be available and the topic does not appear to be notable, tagging for deletion is preferable (PROD/AfD/CSD as appropriate). See additional guidance at WP:DRAFTIFY.
  • If the user moves the draft back to mainspace, or recreates it in mainspace, please do not re-draftify the article (although swapping it to maintain the page history may be advisable in the case of copy-paste moves). AfC is optional except for editors with a clear conflict of interest.
  • Articles that have been created in contravention of our paid-editing-requirements or written from a blatant NPOV perspective, or by authors with a clear COI might also be draftified at discretion.
  • The best tool for draftification is User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js(info). Kindly adapt the text in the dialogue-pop-up as necessary (the default can also be changed like this). Note that if you do not have the Page Mover userright, the redirect from main will be automatically tagged as CSD R2, but in some cases it might be better to make this a redirect to a different page instead.
  • The Page Mover userright can be useful for New Page Reviewers; occasionally page swapping is needed during NPR activities, and it helps avoid excessive R2 nominations which must be processed by admins. Note that the Page Mover userright has higher requirements than the NPR userright, and is generally given to users active at Requested Moves. Only reviewers who are very experienced and are also very active reviewers are likely to be granted it solely for NPP activities.
List of other useful scripts for New Page Reviewing

  • Twinkle provides a lot of the same functionality as the page curation tools, and some reviewers prefer to use the Twinkle tools for some/all tasks. It can be activated simply in the gadgets section of 'preferences'. There are also a lot of options available at the Twinkle preferences panel after you install the gadget.
  • In terms of other gadgets for NPR, HotCat is worth turning on. It allows you to easily add, remove, and change categories on a page, with name suggestions.
  • MoreMenu also adds a bunch of very useful links for diagnosing and fixing page issues.
  • User:Equazcion/ScriptInstaller.js(info): Installing scripts doesn't have to be complicated. Go to your common.js and copy importScript( 'User:Equazcion/ScriptInstaller.js' ); into an empty line, now you can install all other scripts with the click of a button from the script page! (Note you need to be at the ".js" page for the script for the install button to appear, not the information page)
  • User:TheJosh/Scripts/NewPagePatrol.js(info): Creates a scrolling new pages list at the left side of the page. You can change the number of pages shown by adding the following to the next line on your common.js page (immediately after the line importing this script): npp_num_pages=20; (Recommended 20, but you can use any number from 1 to 50).
  • User:Primefac/revdel.js(info): Is requesting revdel complicated and time consuming? This script helps simplify the process. Just have the Copyvio source URL and go to the history page and collect your diff IDs and you can drop them into the script Popups and it will create a revdel request for you.
  • User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js(info): Creates a "Page Curation" link to Special:NewPagesFeed up near your sandbox link.
  • User:Writ Keeper/Scripts/deletionFinder.js: Creates links next to the title of each page which show up if it has been previously deleted or nominated for deletion.
  • User:Evad37/rater.js(info): A fantastic tool for adding WikiProject templates to article talk pages. If you add: rater_autostartNamespaces = 0; to the next line on your common.js, the prompt will pop up automatically if a page has no Wikiproject templates on the talk page (note: this can be a bit annoying if you review redirects or dab pages commonly).

Go here to remove your name if you wish to opt-out of future mailings. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:11, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Sabrina (comics)

On 18 September 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sabrina (comics), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Sabrina, a critique of the modern "fake news" era, is the first graphic novel to be longlisted for the Booker Prize? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sabrina (comics). In response to your message:' 'I'm Bennv3771. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Age Before Beauty have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Yes you did made a mistake. Have you seen my work on the Age Before Beauty page on my website? It's work, it's absolutely not spam. It's perfectly appropriate for an encyclopedia. It's similar as a Wikipedia or IMDb page and very more complete. I've spent days and days to create these pages about the series for French speakers with all information, comments, photos and details... Sorry but my Age Before Beauty link has its perfect place here. PS: Are you an admin from Wikipedia team? Every year I donate to help Wikipedia but I do not think I want to do it again, thanks to you :( --Dyan Bretty (talk) 04:15, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Dyan Bretty

@Dyan Bretty: Please read WP:ELNO-- repeatedly adding external links to a fansite you created is not appropriate for an encyclopedia (see also the contributions of IP 92.151.17.145 IP 86.217.124.94, IP 83.204.163.178 etc). I am not an admin, but any editor is free to remove inappropriate external links. Bennv3771 (talk) 04:25, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
@Dyan Bretty: To clarify, by "spam" I was referring to the repeated insertion of the link to your website in articles relating to the actor. I was not calling your work on your website itself spam. Bennv3771 (talk) 04:38, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Draft: Downball

Hi Bennv3771, thank you for previously reviewing my page titled Downball. I've now created a draft page at http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Downball with multiple references and marked it for review. This is not as easy as it may appear because this game predates the internet and as mostly a childrens school yard game did not get much attention in literature.

Also currently there is simply a redirection from Downball to Foursquare. This redirection is unhelpful because it does not allow for a separate Downball page. I would like to suggest that there is benefit in having a separate Downball page.

with regards, Rockycape (talk) 05:22, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

@Rockycape: Hi. Thanks for starting the draft, I'll have a look at it when I have more time. I'm not familiar with either downball or four square, but if the games are similar and it is difficult to find references to establish downball's independent notability, perhaps you can consider merging the downball content into the four square article as a variation of the game. Bennv3771 (talk) 06:02, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Bennv3771, Thanks for your further suggestions and help generally. To continue the discussion, Downball and Four square are quite distinct from each other just like squash and tennis. Previously there were separate Downball and Four square pages. It's not clear to me what the rationale was to redirect Downball to Four square in the first place.Rockycape (talk) 10:33, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

@Rockycape: Thanks for your patience. I've looked into it more and it seems to be a variation/alternative name of Wallball. Could it be merged there instead? Bennv3771 (talk) 05:47, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Bennv3771, Thanks for you continued help. Since there appears to not be any rationale was to redirect Downball to Four squareit would be clearer to stop the redirect to Four square and approve the draft Downball page. Looking at the Wall ball page there are multiple named variations each with their link to their own page, butts up, aces-kings-queens, Chinese handball, Pêl-Law (Welsh handball) and American handball. It is probably the clearest to approve the Downball page and edit the Wall ball page to add a link to Downball page. Draft downball has the most references btw and Wallball has no references currently.Rockycape (talk) 07:38, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

I'm afraid I looked into finding additional references for the draft, but came up short as well. I'll leave the downball draft to another AfC reviewer, but in the meantime, if "Four square" is not a suitable redirect target for downball, a temporary solution would be to change the target to "Wallball" for now. I've added the {{WikiProject Sports}} template to Draft talk:Downball to hopefully bring the draft to the attention of the active participants in that Wikiproject. Bennv3771 (talk) 07:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
@Rockycape: Forgot to ping. By the way, I agree that Wallball and its related articles are in poor shape. Unfortunately, these were created many years ago and there isn't much we can do now other than fixing them ourselves or nominating them for deletion if they meet the deletion policy. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:00, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi @Bennv3771 , Ok - sounds reasonable. Also I'll be interested in the next AfC reviewer's review. Appreciate your contributions to date and thanks. Rockycape (talk) 05:26, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi there. You say when undoing my edit that the sources don't even mention Navarro. They do. They are an interview with the New Yorker[1] and an interview with the Tampa Bay times.[2] Navarro has said again and again how her father was in the contras and how she has been supportive of them. It's well-documented. They are not poor sources. The section should not have been deleted.

I was not referring to the New Yorker and Tampa Bay sources. I was referring to the Worldcat and "Human Rights in Nicaragua 1986" sources (I explicitly said I was referring to these last two sources). The content about Navarro raising funds for the Contras is already in the article under the "Early life and education" section (cited to your Tampa Bay Times ref) as I have repeatedly told you. This "link" does not require its own WP:UNDUE section. Please read my edit summaries. Bennv3771 (talk) 12:33, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Draft: Illumine Lingao

Thanks for your review.

Illumine Lingao is a famous Time Travel novel among Chinese Internet readers. It has Chinese, Classic Chinese and Simple English Wikipedia versions already. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 臨高の粗坯 (talkcontribs) 03:45, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

@臨高の粗坯: Hi, thanks for working on this draft. Each Wikipedia edition has its own notability standards, so something that is notable on one Wikipedia edition isn't necessarily notable on another. That is not to say that this novel doesn't warrant an article on the English Wikipedia, but the draft should show that it meets WP:NBOOK. Bennv3771 (talk) 04:49, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
@Bennv3771:Thanks for reply. I'll improve the draft by adding more things to show the importance. Thank you very much.
@臨高の粗坯: No problem. This novel seems pretty interesting, I'll see if I can improve Draft:Illumine Lingao along with you. Do remember to sign your comments on talk pages by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your posts. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:56, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
@Bennv3771:Many thanks! Let's cooperate to improve it. 臨高の粗坯 (talk) 09:15, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
@Bennv3771:I add almost everything that I can find to the article. In fact, in the field of Chinese novel, there are many works having great influence that are unpublished or only published online. The number of fans of the works like Illumine Lingao is actually not smaller than works like Bu Bu Jing Xin before the latter was made into TV series. I do think Illumine Lingao is notable enough to be recorded in Wikipedia. Thanks.臨高の粗坯 (talk) 01:56, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
@臨高の粗坯: Do note for future reference that a draft can be WP:MOVED to the mainspace, rather than copy-pasting the contents to a new article. This allows attribution to be maintained, which is a copyright requirement. Bennv3771 (talk) 05:42, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
@Bennv3771:Thank you for reminding. I am not very familiar with this...I didn't find the way to WP:MOVE the draft at that moment, I am very sorry for that. I'll learn more about editing and improve my editing quality. Thank you very much!臨高の粗坯 (talk) 05:59, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Age before Beauty

Bennv3771 I don't understand why you delete my link. I repeat it's NOT SPAM it's about the series and not to promote anything. I've read the rules and it's exactly what the link brings: informations about the series

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dyan Bretty (talkcontribs) 14:48, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

@Dyan Bretty: It is a foreign-language fansite that you yourself created. Please read WP:LINKSPAM and WP:ELNO, the latter of which states that the following links should be avoided: "Blogs, personal web pages and most fansites (negative ones included), except those written by a recognized authority." I changed the introductory part in article, is it okay? --SrpskiAnonimac (talk) 20:29, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

@SrpskiAnonimac: Thanks for letting me know. The description is fine, but there should only be one blue link per entry in a disambiguation page (MOS:DABENTRY), so the link to the municipality should be removed/separated into its own entry. Bennv3771 (talk) 00:21, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

On the "Antifeminist" article

The article quotes some Sociology professors opinion as holding any authority on what a vague term like "Antifeminism" means. It is framing it a rejection of Feminism on principle of equality rather than its execution in the public sphere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.176.121.88 (talk) 23:42, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi. The reason I reverted your edit was because it was not attributed to a reliable source. Yes the article does quote several academic papers published by Sociology professors, but these "expert" opinions are accepted as reliable if they are properly attributed and given due weight, as opposed to the unpublished opinions of Wikipedia editors, which Wikipedia considers to be original research and thus not reliable. If you want to add another perspective on the term "Antifeminsm", do make sure to cite a reliable source (such as a published academic paper) that verifies this perspective as a significant viewpoint held by some reliable sources. As of 21 October 2018, there are 3650 unreviewed articles and the backlog now stretches back 51 days.

Community Wishlist Proposal
Project updates
  • ORES predictions are now built-in to the feed. These automatically predict the class of an article as well as whether it may be spam, vandalism, or an attack page, and can be filtered by these criteria now allowing reviewers to better target articles that they prefer to review.
  • There are now tools being tested to automatically detect copyright violations in the feed. This detector may not be accurate all the time, though, so it shouldn't be relied on 100% and will only start working on new revisions to pages, not older pages in the backlog.

The article Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. try talking to me first before you CSD my drafts

OK? Vexations (talk) 23:09, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

@Vexations: I did not CSD your draft. I CSDed the redirect left behind after moving your draft to the correct namespace (i.e. not the mainspace). Bennv3771 (talk) 23:10, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
@Vexations: FWIW, I was just in the middle of writing you a message on your talk page to inform you that you had created your draft in the wrong namespace and I had moved it and CSDed the redirect that had been left behind. Bennv3771 (talk) 23:12, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
And if you had bothered to check, you would have noticed that I have page mover rights so I could easily have done this myself without leaving a redirect. For what it's worth: It's a draft, not an article, even though I accidentally mis-typed the namespace. Your pedantry about terminology is particularly unwelcome. Please don't ever review anything by me again. Vexations (talk) 23:19, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.15 16 November 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months.

Hello Bennv123,

Community Wishlist Survey – NPP needs you – Vote NOW
  • Community Wishlist Voting takes place 16 to 30 November for the Page Curation and New Pages Feed improvements, and other software requests. The NPP community is hoping for a good turnout in support of the requests to Santa for the tools we need. This is very important as we have been asking the Foundation for these upgrades for 4 years.
If this proposal does not make it into the top ten, it is likely that the tools will be given no support at all for the foreseeable future. So please put in a vote today.
We are counting on significant support not only from our own ranks, but from everyone who is concerned with maintaining a Wikipedia that is free of vandalism, promotion, flagrant financial exploitation and other pollution.
With all 650 reviewers voting for these urgently needed improvements, our requests would be unlikely to fail. See also The Signpost Special report: 'NPP: This could be heaven or this could be hell for new users – and for the reviewers', and if you are not sure what the wish list is all about, take a sneak peek at an article in this month's upcoming issue of The Signpost which unfortunately due to staff holidays and an impending US holiday will probably not be published until after voting has closed.

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Bennv3771. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Poison ivy

Is it really necessary for the section in her article about her relationships/teammates to be excessively detailed? Its need to be re-evaluated. Even if you disagree with my version, the page looks like it could do with restarting from scratch anyway! Plus, I have added a link for sources about her releationship with bats on the article's talk page. http://pamela.isley.tripod.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.100.50 (talk) 05:29, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi. If you want to trim the "relationships" section, you can do so without a wholesale reversion, undoing edits made by numerous other editors. Also, fan-made tripod sites are not reliable sources and should not be cited. Bennv3771 (talk) 05:32, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Do you know on whether you could make an article for Batman/Poison Ivy: Cast Shadows? Per WP:REDLINK we leave links like the one in the page in the hope an article may be created. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.100.50 (talk) 05:36, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

If you're asking me if I can personally create the article then sorry but I'm too busy in real life at the moment to start such an article from scratch. If you're asking whether the article can be created in general, then you can check if the comic meets the notability criteria first. If it does (e.g. it has been reviewed by reliable sources), you can go ahead and start a draft (Draft:Batman/Poison Ivy: Cast Shadows) for the article. If you do go ahead with a draft, I would be happy to see if I can help improve it if need be. Bennv3771 (talk) 05:44, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

The daft has been made. Sort of. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.200.143 (talk) 15:15, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Noted, thanks. I'll take a look at it. Bennv3771 (talk) 15:22, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for creating the draft. I've added a critic's review. Before you submit the draft for review (just click the "submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the draft), I suggest you try and add more critical reviews so as to establish that the graphic novel meets the notability criteria. Unfortunately the book was published 14 years ago so it's not easy to find reviews online. Bennv3771 (talk) 15:49, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of LGBT characters in soap operas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Asexual (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Batman Villains

Back in May (Sorry for the late reply), you removed some citations I made, saying that none of them were reliable sources that stated the villains were part of Batman's classic rogues' gallery. While I now see that many of them weren't, one of them, the DC Comics Character Encyclopedia, was. The book does state that all of those villains are part of his rogues' gallery, so if that's the only one that gets readded, I'll be satisfied. MasterHedgehog76 (talk) 15:13, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

@MasterHedgehog76: Hi. No worries about the late response. I'm not sure if we have the same version of the DC Comics Character Encyclopedia, but the copy that I have doesn't verify that Clayface is a classic batman villain (the book was used as a reference for Clayface originally). My issue with the sources is that they didn't verify that those villains are classic members of Batman's rogues gallery, not just normal members of the Batman rogues gallery. That particular section/list is for classic Batman villains, which the article defines as his "most enduring and iconic adversaries", not just any and all Batman villains. I didn't remove Clayface from the list though, as I found and added another source that does verify that he is a classic/iconic rogue. If you have a different version of the DC Comics Character Encyclopedia than me, and yours does verify that as far as Batman villains go, Clayface is classic/iconic, then feel free to re-add it in, in addition to the source already cited. Bennv3771 (talk) 15:42, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

Thanks; realized that just now. I'm adding new sources for them now to reclaim my honor. Also, how explicit should the sources be about villains being from Batman's Classic Rogues' Gallery? MasterHedgehog76 (talk) 17:31, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

@MasterHedgehog76: I don’t think they have to be so explicit as to say the exact word “classic”. IMO if the source says something to that same effect it’s good enough. Bennv3771 (talk) 00:14, 7 December 2018 (UTC)

Conspiracy Theory Blogs

I apologize, I did not realize it was a conspiracy theory blog. It won't happen again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wonderland ave (talkcontribs) 18:03, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

@Wonderland ave: Ok, no problem. Do be particularly careful with the sourcing for Carol Howe as she is a subject of many conspiracy theories. Bennv3771 (talk) 01:40, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018

Hello Bennv123,

Reviewer of the Year

This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.

Thanks are also extended for their work to JTtheOG (15,059 reviews), Boleyn (12,760 reviews), Cwmhiraeth (9,001 reviews), Semmendinger (8,440 reviews), PRehse (8,092 reviews), Arthistorian1977 (5,306 reviews), Abishe (4,153 reviews), Barkeep49 (4,016 reviews), and Elmidae (3,615 reviews).
Cwmhiraeth, Semmendinger, Barkeep49, and Elmidae have been New Page Reviewers for less than a year — Barkeep49 for only seven months, while Boleyn, with an edit count of 250,000 since she joined Wikipedia in 2008, has been a bastion of New Page Patrol for many years.

See also the list of top 100 reviewers.

Less good news, and an appeal for some help

The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.

Really good news - NPR wins the Community Wishlist Survey 2019

At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.

Training video

Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers.
