Initial review
Lead
[edit]- Per WP:REDLINK, a person should only be linked if they are likely to meet notability guidelines. I'm not overly certain what these are for beach volleyball players so, relying on your experience, is Kelly Claes notable?
- There isn't a specific notability guideline for volleyball players, but I do think Claes, who is a member of the US beach volleyball national team and has won a medal on the FIVB World Tour, meets WP:BASIC in terms of coverage from independent sources: [1][2][3][4].
Early life and career
[edit]- Spell out the abbreviation of MVP in its first use here > most valuable player (MVP).
Done.
College
[edit]- "the 2013–2014 season", in most other sports, seasons are normally displayed as 2013–14. Is there a reason this would be different for volleyball?
- "in a three-set lost to a team from the Saint Mary's Gaels", should that be "lost to a team..."?
Done.
Amateur career
[edit]- "with a score of 21-17, 18-21, 15-17", use en-dashes in scorelines rather than hyphens, per WP:DASH.
- "Despite the lost", again loss?
- "Walkenhorst and Ludwig would go on to win the 2016 Summer Olympics a few weeks later", the link directs to the wrong year here.
- Also, win the Olympics is a bit of a loose term. "Win gold at the..." would probably be more suitable.
Done.
2017: Partnering with Kelly Claes
[edit]- "On the AVP", should that be "On the AVP tour"?
Done.
External links
[edit]- Her USC Trojans profile is used as a ref so doesn't need to be listed here as well.
Done.
Not too much to worry about, article is very neat and well presented. References are immaculately formatted. Placed on hold for now until these issues addressed. Kosack (talk) 06:20, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

- @Kosack: I've addressed the above issues. Let me know if there are any further concerns/questions. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:39, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- I have no further concerns with this, I think it comfortably meets the necessary GA criteria. Promoting. Kosack (talk) 09:09, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
