[edit]
Also deleting the warnings isn't going to hide it from the page history Abo Yemen 16:50, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lol are you an infiltrator, you are clearly a biased inividual who hold pro-nationalist Yemeni views hence why I called you as such Apprentix (talk) 16:51, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - please stop making personal remarks - if you have concerns about the article - kindly discuss it at it's talk page. The AP (talk) 16:54, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:52, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, so me "insulting" someone else blocks my editing, what does the two have in common with each other? Apprentix (talk) 16:56, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
read Wikipedia:NOPERSONALATTACKS and you'll know Abo Yemen 16:58, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're not blocked from editing - you'have been warned that you shouldn't make personal remarks as they're disruptive; kindly look at this which tells you why it is harmful The AP (talk) 16:59, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is built on collaboration between editors. Disagreement is often the best way of improving the encyclopedia, but only if everyone treats each other with respect. If you insult and belittle another editor with juvenile remarks, as you have done, you contribute nothing to improving the encyclopedia and just satisfy your pride. If you are unable to work on Wikipedia without insulting others, there is no point in you editing here, because you will be contributing nothing. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 17:01, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
People generally don't like jerks. So if someone is being a jerk, we make them go away. It's a pretty simple concept. GMGtalk 17:02, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, I was kinda agitated because he was defending something defamatory. And made me lose my cool a bit I hope this can be resolved justly without hierarchy abuse. Apprentix (talk) 17:06, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The community is generally cool with people messing up as long as they can take feedback. But being chill even when you disagree with someone is kindof a core part of that process. GMGtalk 18:16, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have continued with the personal attacks on the wrongly used PROD template in that article " Pro-Yemeni nationalist propaganda or anti-Ethiopian sentiment" Abo Yemen 06:50, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't directing that statement to ABO Yemen but I was stating the possible ambitions of the person who made this page (Not ABO Yemen), this just sounds like a weird reason to try silence me or possibly trying to slander me to try get me blocked from editing after my previous warning, this is clearly a personal attack on me because that's not difficult to understand Apprentix (talk) 07:41, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't have to be directed at me to be considered a personal attack. In fact your first personal attack on the discussion at talk:Sabean colonization of Africa was to the creator of the article and not me Abo Yemen 08:08, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So you're using something all the way back to that time to use it as a "personal attack" Apprentix (talk) 19:31, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
this is clearly a personal attack on me because that's not difficult to understand
And btw, warning you is not a personal attack Abo Yemen 08:09, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
you trying to silence me for stating a possible ambition for a controversial article is considered an attack, since you didn't mention who was being insulted. Apprentix (talk) 19:30, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Horn of Africa (defined as including Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and adjoining areas if involved in related disputes), a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
