Footballers' European goals

[edit]

Pleae, stop adding goals of INternational competitions to footballers as you did here. The table specifically reads Professional club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only. Mariano(t/c) 08:33, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern, but the Infobox is not the place for that information; it was decided by voting. You could try putting that info in the article space. Mariano(t/c) 09:52, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm reverting all of your edits because you obviously do not understand what you're doing. If I see anymore edits with you adding European goals to players records, you will be referred to an admin and you will be blocked. --Palffy 19:40, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please see my responses on my Talk page.. Cheers. --Palffy 21:09, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, if you think Pele's stats are wrong and include his goals in South American tournaments/Cup matches, then that should be fixed as well (and you're certainly welcome to do that). --Palffy 21:27, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please add a 'disputed' notice to your infobox edits or add domestic league goals only. --Palffy 21:34, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Andoni Zubizarreta's stats are correct according to Athletic Bilbáo´s official homepage (registration required). I have removed the "dubious" tag. Sebisthlm 11:43, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You requested a personal note re: Karl-Heinz Rummenigge / goals for Internazionale

I have now checked with my - quite authoritative - personal notes and adjusted to 64 league matches / 16 goals. The season details are in the "discussion" section.

It meets also with my personal recollection, that Rummenigge was quite on the sort of way out then, and even me as a Bayern afficionado appreciated the transfer fee rather than to have his continued service in those days. In so far he did not disappoint - only Inter were not excessively happy. Well, in the end, Servette Geneve were ;)

His name btw is officially spellt Karlheinz and not Karl-Heinz - have to move that page at some stage.

Best regards, --Oalexander-En 20:06, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Denis Law

[edit]

This page disputes the 419 (248) Man Utd appearances you added. I have changed it accordingly.  Slumgum T. C.   22:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox stats pleas

[edit]

If you update players' stats PLEASE change the date as well. Using the wrong date makes the stats inaccurate.

It would be useful for others if you could also provide a source, (perhaps just in the edit summary is an easily verifiable link) especially if not one of the article's external links. This is so that other users know that the info is reliable and have the opportunity to make updates from the same source themselves.

Your edit to Darren Bent actually includes two playoff matches for Ipswich. These are seldom considered league appearances, so I'll add a footnote and try to get a consensus over whether playoff games should count as league games. My view is that they shouldn't. sʟυмɢυм • т  c  20:07, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just found out that he's played a total of four playoff matches and scored once. I'll adjust it to soccerbase.com's stats and ignore the playoff games.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  20:24, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please update the date when you update players' stats. --Jaellee (talk) 16:46, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
