Pastiche

I'm sorry, I can't "agree to disagree". You're wrong. Just plain wrong. Read the article on Pastiche again. I'll accept you're wrong and leave you alone. But I won't agree to disagree.

Wouldn't keeping short stories as a single article be more manageable? -- Cat chi? 19:11, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I am for some and creating individual articles for others. The Conan stories already have an article each, for example. Partly based on that, I thought an article each for the other major series would be appropriate (they are only stubs now but eventually they would be too much for just one article). For the smaller series, however, such as Cormac Fitzgeoffrey or Dark Agnes de Chastillon, I am only creating a single article for the character and stories combined. There are some series of medium length they I haven't really decided on yet but would probably be down the relative importance. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 19:25, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Hawk of the Hills (short story), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please stop re-adding inappropriate links. Dr Hermes Reviews and Todd Gault's Movie Serial Experience are non-notable personal websites. Their inclusion isn't keeping with WP:EL. IrishGuy talk 20:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Chapter titles

Did you use that source for all the chapter titles, or just the last one? Cirt (talk) 12:15, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I am also not sure if listing all the chapter titles like that will fly in a WP:GA or WP:FA candicacy review, I'd sorta like to remove them. Cirt (talk) 12:17, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Nevermind, found the listing in that source, thanks. Cirt (talk) 12:52, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Calling all active WP:NOVELS members

WikiProject Novels Roll Call

WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!

Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. We hope to have more involvement and input this time around! More news will be forthcoming. Thanks, everyone! María (habla conmigo) 14:03, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Wikiquote to be deleted

You wrote on Pump, "It is good to actually know about this sort of thing though." but note that actually this information has been quickly censored, though. I restored it, but since it was an admin deleted it, unsure it wont be suppressed again. 62.147.37.92 (talk) 20:35, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Action films

I have been splitting the articles by decade actually! I'm finding it hard to dechiper when action films really started. allmovie seems to state them really only kicking off around the 60's, which makes sense to me. I guess you are refering to mostly the film serial articles. :) I haven't seen many of these, but of the ones I have I find it hard to really label them as action per say...but i'm not an expert. If you feel the need, create some cats. I've labeled mine as Category:1980s action films and Category:1990s action films.

Thanks for understanding. :) I was thinking since some of these are really hard to classify, why not lable them as Category:Action film serials or some such? Film serials jump genre's like crazy. So it might be a more broad appropriate placement. Cheers. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:40, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Edisonade

Hi. Could you point me to where you've seen this term used apart from by Clute? It would be much better to confirm its notability now than take it to AfD as a failed neologism, and suddenly people starting adding cites they were keeping secret. (Don't know why people do it, but it happens!)

I checked a couple of newer SF encyclopedias, and they don't contain the term. So far every ref in the article is to Clute's invention of the term, or doesn't use the term at all. Maybe you heard it from film critics? I only follow the lit side of SF, so wouldn't see it. You could simply drop links on my talk, or add the cites to the article, and i'll check it again in a week or so.

I've nothing against it personally, i'm just going through some of the SF cats and tagging / prodding entries with no proof of notability. Thanks!Yobmod (talk) 09:31, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
