Speedy deletion nomination of Mahdi Falahati

[edit]

Hello پخش مطلب,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mahdi Falahati for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@پخش مطلب: this edit made no sense to be. Is there an explanation? -- Politicsfan4 (talk) 23:56, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Politicsfan4:Hello.Thank you for contacting me. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Edward M. Flynn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Kelly. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikis as sources

[edit]

Hi. Wikis are user-generated, making them unreliable sources. The same applies to IMDB, it's not a reliable source. Second.wiki is just a machine translation directly from Wikipedia. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:07, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Dr." as honorific

[edit]

Hi, I've removed the claim of "Dr." as an honorific, as it appears that a) when a major office holder also holds academic titles, it is unusual to refer to them by their academic credentials, as opposed to the titles that come ex officio in the literature, and b) per MOS:CREDENTIAL, it seems to me that unless the subject is widely known by a pseudonym or stage name, the use of the title should be avoided. Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Alexander Djaparidze . Thank you.

See WP:COI in case it might apply.

You may want to check WP:RSP and WP:RSN to help determine if a source is reliable. --Hipal (talk) 22:10, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Aaron Mendelsohn moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Aaron Mendelsohn, is not suitable as written to remain published. While he appears to meet notability criteria, it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Currently, it is almost entirely sourced by primary sources, which don't go to notability.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Edward M. Flynn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't appear to pass WP:GNG. The sources in the article are self-published, not significant coverage, based on interviews, or in the case of the Boston Globe source, not independent because it's based on a "handout" (the word used in the article).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:51, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
