ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

areas that need administrative privileges to help

[edit]

Regarding this comment: I'm not sure I understand. There are of course plenty of areas requiring administrative privileges that can use more admins, some of them listed in the main section of the discussion. Did you mean areas that you were interested in? isaacl (talk) 23:50, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Isaacl: yes, precisely. (I also didn't read the entire discussion - the watchlist header looked interesting to me.) SportingFlyer T·C 00:20, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment just sounds a bit odd, since even the subsection discusses admin backlogs (and if you're interested in finding admin backlogs, they aren't that hard to locate). Thanks for the clarification. isaacl (talk) 00:25, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Isaacl: No worries. Admin backlogs are not something I engage with on a normal basis, which is why I'm in favour of some sort of recruitment campaign. SportingFlyer T·C 00:35, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tarnobrzeg Municipal Stadium

[edit]

Just wanted to say thanks for backing the Tarnobrzeg Municipal Stadium article during the discussion. Even though it ended up being deleted (which I still think was unfair—felt more like a snowball effect than actual consensus), I really appreciate that your input helped keep the debate going for another week. It’s a good reminder that you don’t always win, even when you’ve got solid arguments on your side. Still, I’m glad we had the chance to make the case, and your fairness in the discussion didn’t go unnoticed. ;) Paradygmaty (talk) 16:57, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Paradygmaty: I think it's a bad decision, best we can do is add information about it onto the Siarka Tarnobrzeg page. If you have access to older sources we might be able to make a case for reinstatement! SportingFlyer T·C 19:18, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
