I am currently a student at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, United States as a history major. My personal favorite subject is the Byzantine Empire or the Eastern Roman Empire, but I am highly interested in both ancient history and the Middle Ages as a whole as well. Not to forget, ancient art and architecture. I have also recently began studying philosophy, mainly Stoicism.

A mosaic of Emperor Justinian I and his retinue within the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna. It was completed in 547 CE, shortly after the partial re-conquest of the West during the Gothic War. The five center figures from left to right: Antonina, Belisarius, Justinian I, Narses, Maximianus
I have found that reading Marcus Aurelius' Meditations is a great text for beginners wanting to learn Stoicism. A Hellenistic philosophy first founded by Zeno of Citium around 300 BCE.
I have completed and edited many works surrounding Dover located in Kent, England. This can include individuals involved in the Cinque Ports, local officials such as William Crundall, and all matter of subjects surrounding Dover Castle seen above. Built mainly in the 12th-century under Henry II.
