192 Street House and I had some interesting exchange on our talk pages on the issue of inclusion of successor/other states. I originally included it in the template as it seemed useful at the time, but right now it's maybe getting a bit messy (what takes precedence-what is more important...)? I wanted to see if there may be anyone else who can 'borrow us their mental capacity' and take a look into it. How useful it actually is to have it there, as it seems to rather cause some misunderstandings and even edit conflicts?--MirkoS18 (talk) 18:17, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Mirko my good friend that section was really messy. Just get rid of it. Please. I mean we can all move forward without the bottom section anyway. So yeah just get rid of the bottom section Mirko.

I'm starting to think the same, especially since you underlined the Kosovo thing. That's why I proposed it at first. I would just like to see if there will be any additional involvement/contribution over the weekend/next couple of days. Other editors have their own schedules so let's leave some time if someone wants to contribute. Of course you are always free to do anything you consider urgent ☺️. Just an additional side note, this may also affect Czechoslovakia template.--MirkoS18 (talk) 22:08, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well still just get rid of the bottom template soon. It’s too messy. You created it and you can get rid of it. So go for it and do it Mirko. Get rid of the entire bottom section. Also so what about Czechoslovakia. I mean the Soviet Union foreign relations template has no bottom section about the so-called successor states. So just get rid of the bottom section Mirko. 192 Street House (talk) 21:25, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's because USSR is a different case. There, Russia is legally recognized as the sole continuing state (which for example directly inherited memberships in international organizations). In Czechoslovakia and SFRY earlier state disappeared and all states are considered new states (applying again for membership)...--MirkoS18 (talk) 06:44, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well Mirko just do the following just either get rid of the bottom section about the successor states or just put Kosovo in another category of partially recognized Staes. Or just get rid of the bottom section all together. In my opinion I think that the bottom section should be removed here completely because it is very messy anyway.. 192 Street House (talk) 03:15, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Mirko I have finally come to the conclusion that you should just get rid of the entire bottom section completely just get rid of it now. Please. Only then will this great template will be a lot neater and it will be less messy. So how about it Mirko. You can do it right now if you want. So go for it now. 192 Street House (talk) 01:00, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Honesty, I am now more inclined to just keep it as it is. This is rather narrow topic so it's probable that interested general readers won't be confused in any way about the status of Kosovo (particularly now when there is a note). At the same time, they can find it useful as a general reader will more probably mistakenly assume something about single succession or what countries are out there today. Plus I decided to get a bit disengaged after I noticed that your user page has some of the same links like the one of yet another user Flushing Girl who was topic blocked. It may very well be a complete coincidence (apologies if that's all) yet I thought it's better to do some cooling-off (to avoid any disruptive editing) and deal with some other topics instead as you can see in my history.--MirkoS18 (talk) 07:32, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well Im not the banned user Flushing Girl but I enjoyed this discussion as it is. But I still think that you are a great editor. But I accept your apologies already. Keep up the good work Mirko and I hope that this template expands to include more countries as well, So thanks for everything Mirko. 192 Street House (talk) 12:17, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
