Confusing sentence

[edit]

"Performing in community theaters and local stages since childhood, Zazie found her joy in grade school and grew up acting as a girl" What exactly is this sentence meant to convey? - ක - (talk) 10:28, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Has been rewritten for syntax and encyclopedic language, e.g. "found her joy" is perhaps more appropriate wording in a fan magazine. -- Deborahjay (talk) 08:10, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Birth place

[edit]

Her place of birth was changed from Berlin (which the sources support) to the more specific Berlin Mitte and the Charité (a University hospital) which the sources do not yet support. Sources needed. -- 109.79.148.226 (talk) 21:20, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is sometimes difficult to find reliable references, but one source (which unfortunately is no longer available) she was born on 25 May 1991. Other sources have suggested 1 June 1991. Best estimate is that she was born late May 1991. It is suggested that she was born in Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlijn, a hospital affiliated to some of Berlin's universities, which in my mind makes sense. The Campus Charité Mitte (CCM) was located in Mitte, Berlin and would fit the timeframe of a mother giving birth. JHvW 16:57, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@JHvW: There is public record (that we cannot use here because it’s an extreme example of a privacy violation), that her birthday is June 1, 1991. So for now it’s best left blank. Trillfendi (talk) 17:40, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This source confirms June 1, 1991, but it doesn’t strike me as a privacy violation: https://www.empireonline.com/people/zazie-beetz/ I am quite curious as to what you mean! SlackerInc1 (talk) 09:07, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know the correct Date of Birth? Does anyone have a reliable source that confirm the DOB? People keep adding the date of birth to the article[1][2] but without any reliable sources (or unreliable sources for that matter) to confirm they've actually got the right date.

I guess Empire magazine should be a reliable source and I suppose I could use that if no one is disputing it as a source. -- 109.78.198.162 (talk) 22:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that Twitter cannot be trusted and Twitter.com/ZazBeetz is clearly marked as "Not the real Zazie Beetz" so not a useful source.
Instagram.com/zaziebeetz/ does seem to be the real Zazie Beetz though. -- 109.78.198.162 (talk) 22:26, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Found an article from the Associated Press saying June 1 is her birthday.[3] They must have fact checked it right? WP:RSPSOURCES says the AP is generally reliable. -- 109.78.198.162 (talk) 23:08, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like a second opinion. Does anyone have any reasons to doubt the sources saying her DOB is June 1? Are Empire or AP reliable enough to meet the standards required by WP:BLP? -- 109.76.196.7 (talk) 02:42, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Both sources are reliable. Rusted AutoParts 04:03, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the problem using the sources indicated. There are no WP:DOB issues at this point that I can see. --Hipal (talk) 14:49, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There was a lot pointless back and forth over this. I wanted a second opinion or preferably local consensus to resolve this properly.
The matter now seems to have been settled and in the unlikely event anyone disagrees about her DoB they will need to restart this discussion and show better sources. -- 109.79.85.218 (talk) 19:53, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Filming

[edit]

As usual, Trillfendi is misinformed. Per WP:FILMOGRAPHY, "Do not add future projects until filming has begun as verified by a reliable source." Basic stuff! Krimuk2.0 (talk) 13:40, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Under normal circumstances I'd say "as usual" you can kiss my ass, but who are you. Trillfendi (talk) 18:18, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
