Box office

[edit]

I can see there is an upcoming big box office game. According to Pinkvilla, the first day (India) box office collection is ₹7.40 crore, and according to The New Indian Express, citing the production house’s tweet, it is ₹17.3 crore worldwide. Additionally, The New Indian Express mentioned Sacnilk’s reportings, which are considered unreliable as per WP:ICTFSOURCES. GrabUp - Talk 17:32, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The New Indian Express did not provide any breakdowns of which other countries contributed to the additional ₹10 crore. GrabUp - Talk 17:34, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Charliehdb, The source Times Now, reported the box office from Sacnilk, which is considered as unreliable source as per WP:ICTFSOURCES. The source mentions the box office saying: As per the data on Sacnilk. GrabUp - Talk 10:09, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Grabup: Yeah, domestic collection is from Sacnilk. But worldwide collection not from it. Charliehdb (talk) 10:11, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Pinkvilla is better than Sacnilk. GrabUp - Talk 03:09, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User:Boseshub98: Can you explain your box office change here, I reverted your edit as you did not cited any reliable source. GrabUp - Talk 03:45, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Budget

[edit]

The budget of the movie is wrongly given in wiki. Actual budget is around 30 plus crores. 2604:3D09:1474:4C00:B478:B55C:2695:E44E (talk) 06:12, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Flop or hit?

[edit]

Recently, many editors have been adding whether the film was a hit or a flop at the box office. What should we add? Share your opinions. The reported budget of the film is INR 70 crores, and the box office collection reported by The Times of India is INR 70.1 crores. What should we do? Should we label it as a hit, a flop, or not mention anything about it? GrabUp - Talk 14:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am in between Not mention at all to mention but with reliable source. My take is that most film recover budget by selling theatrical right, OTT rights and other deals and any extra at the boxoffice is cherry on top. So personal analysis on the status of the film is a big no. If the analysis on the boxoffice status comes from a reliable secondary independent sources then it can be added. I would like to see other views on this. RangersRus (talk) 15:54, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If we consider "Not mention at all" then we have to face the argument that it is mentioned in the reliable source. Multiple editor views on this can make a firm decision. RangersRus (talk) 16:00, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
