On a recent CD compilation, Disneymania Volume 4, Devo 2.0 did a song called "Monkey's Uncle". I had never heard the song before, and I've been told that all the Disneymania compilations consist of modern pop artists redoing songs from Disney movies. Logically, that leads me to think that it's a cover of the title song from this movie, however that is an assumption and I don't want to add it to the article without further evidence. Would someone who knows how to research such things like to take the initiative and update the article? It might also be helpful to add a mention of it to the Devo 2.0 article as well, since it currently only has the self-titled album listed. - Ugliness Man14:15, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nearly a year later, but I finally heard the original song, as a friend of mine loaned me a "Classic Disney Songs" collection. The Devo 2.0 song is indeed the same song, but in a much different style. I'm not sure, however, if it would be worthwhile to mention it in the article, since the article is about the movie. If anyone else wants to figure out a way to make it a worthwhile addition, have at it, but I think I'll just leave it alone for now (although I will likely edit the Devo 2.0 article). - Ugliness Man01:36, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know this movie almost by heart and I can see this plot summary needs a lot of work. The person who asks for man-powered flight goes by "Darius Green III" and "Mr. Astorbilt" is the other alter ego of the crazy gentleman who will give money to Midvale if they cancel their football program. Furthermore, the movie is pretty much divided into two nearly independent plots. The sleep-learning segment with the football team happens before the money grants from Darius Green/Mr. Astorbilt. Sleep-learning plays only a minor role in the second half of the movie where it is used to instill confidence in football player Leon who was selected for the test-flight by drawing of straws. I'll come back to work on this summary later. But anyone else is free to begin making changes if they want. --LuciusPius (talk) 01:22, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
