A fact from Rowan Parks appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 29 March 2024 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Overall: Article is new enough, long enough and is sourced. Content is neutral. The hook is cited and interesting. A QPQ has been done and only one is required as it was nominated pre-8 March. Earwig has picked up a bit of close phrasing that should be addressed:
in Career section "(HPB) surgery at the ... of surgical sciences at the university" is pretty close to the source text, so I would suggest re-writing - source
Thanks @Lajmmoore: for that. I have reworded these as suggested and this has lowered the score on Earwig. The score is still quite high but this now relates pretty much exclusively to proper nouns rather than similarity of phrasing. Papamac (talk) 16:00, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Iainmacintyre, I think this phrasing "full-time research in the Department of Surgery, Queens University Belfast. This work investigated the effect of obstructive jaundice on gut barrier function and resulted in the award" should be reworded, as it the same as here, otherwise, I agree it is mostly titles, etc. Lajmmoore (talk) 19:30, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
