Merge
[edit]I propose merging all 3 of the Police Women pages (Police Women of Broward County, Police Women of Maricopa County, and Police Women of Memphis) Into one page, perhaps Police Women (TLC Series). The first two have 10 or 11 episodes, which isn't enough for standalone articles in my opinion, and they are all basically the same show, so they can just be one article. Well, technically they are different shows since they have different people, therefore if the 3 were merged into one, it would have to have 3 subsections for the individual cast members, different logos/title cards, and list of episodes (Ideally, the episodes could be put into a dedicated episode list article that includes the episodes for each series). As long as that is done, this sounds like a good idea. Googy14 (talk) 17:54, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ya, I would propose having the generic page title, and then a section for each of the 3, with info on them. CTJF83 pride 17:57, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- Endorse, with three subsections. Saebvn (talk) 01:42, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
NPOV and BLP issues
[edit]I've stripped most of the personal details and promotional text out of the section about the individual deputies. Not only was none of it referenced, but it read way too much like a promotional blurb. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 13:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Documentation of the deputy sheriffs' and the show's questionable actions and illegal activities
[edit]These are some pretty inflammatory allegations, if they're true. Can you document these claims? If so, please post links and I'm sure the community would be interested in creating a new section on ethical violations which take place as a result of the show. If there is no evidence for these claims, however, it can't be made into its own section because it cannot be documented to Wikipedia's standards. Zminer (talk) 13:52, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

There needs to be a section in the article section covering the questionable actions and illegal activities of these Broward County Sheriff deputies. Two of them should not even be in law enforcement because of their activities and actions. Both should be in prison currently for their actions, or have served time for them already, but the Broward County Sheriff's Office has had a long history of illegal activity by it's officers and the department that has been swept under the rug and covered up by the department, local law enforcement like the town and city police departments, and the communities within Broward County as well because all of them are illegally profiting off of seizures due to "drug" arrests to the tune of multiple millions of dollars.
Julie Bower for example was investigated by internal affairs for falsifying reports to improve the crime statistics of the BSO and her boss who was elected by the people to uphold the law, not manipulate crime statistics. Internal affairs found that she was an active member in this, an illegal activity that mandates criminal prosecution and jail time. She only received having her pay docked for a day as punishment for falsely filing a criminal report on a 15 year old boy for grand theft auto when he was in custody and could not have committed the crime she claimed he did. If the average person filed a false criminal report, it is a felony, but she only got a loss of pay for one day for her actions. The other officer that is a criminal with a badge is Andrea Penoyer.
Currently she is facing perjury and contempt charges regarding her actions in a buy bust. It appears that the alleged dealer was framed and the evidence used to arrest him was planted by her. It appears this is a direct result of her being on the show too. It is the money she gets paid for doing it when she is already paid to do the job she is doing. It has all gone to her head.
The public defender representing this alleged drug dealer tried to question Andrea Penoyer regarding her contract and payment for doing the show while she was on the stand to which she replied it was not relevant. She also claimed whether or not she has talent management to represent her is not relevant either. It is not her call to make on that. It is the call of the judicial system as in the judge and jury. This public defender tried to subpoena her contract with the production company who produces the show to only have it, TLC which airs the show, and the BSO do everything to stop him from gaining access to her contracts regarding the show. Contracts of this type of nature are supposed to be a matter of public record but the only person who will be able to view them is the judge if the public defender is successful in getting them. It will be that judge's decision on whether or not the defense is able to view them after that point.
This public defender also tried to subpoena the footage of the buy bust with his client hoping it might shed light on his client's case. He received the same response from the production company, TLC, and the BSO as he did regarding the contracts. All three are trying to do everything possible to stop the raw footage from what they all claim was a clean bust from coming to light. If it was a clean bust, what do they have to hide then where they are doing everything to stop the footage from being entered as evidence. If Andrea Penoyer's contract and involvement with the show is on the up and up, then again what is there to hide. This needs to be exposed and it is not the only point of contention when it comes to Deputy Penoyer, her actions, and their questionable legality.
Every single law enforcement officer and attorney I have spoken to regarding Andrea Penoyer and the show has clearly stated she uses excessive force in her take downs and the arrests of suspects. This is not speculation either. It is coming from them watching the hacked up footage of the show which has been edited to best portray this commodity of TLC and the production company that produces the show, which Andrea Penoyer is a commodity to both of them.
If this article is to be accurate, then it is necessary for all aspects of this show to be presented, good or bad. It cannot be called opinion when this is all a matter of public record I have presented here. Odds are though that someone associated with these parties will redact it though. This happens constantly out here and it needs to stop.
