Editorializing and Vanity

[edit]

I have cut the following paragraph which is reference-free editorializing that seems to be in service of vanity. --Littlemissfactchecker (talk) 17:08, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Using precedent and expertise from suits brought in the 1990s against tobacco corporations, lawyers such as John Banzhaf hope to use the courts to pressure the food industry into providing more prominent health advisory information about its products. Banzhaf, founder of Action on Smoking and Health or ASH, argues that the joint liability established between tobacco companies and smokers will soon be recognized as being similarly applicable in the case of food retailers and their customers. He anticipates that more health warnings would change consumer behavior, contributing to a solution to the obesity epidemic.

Date Check

[edit]

Do they mean Oct. 19, 2006? or 2005?

The link says 05, I clarified it. --Awiseman 19:58, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If I ever see a surgeon general's warning on a cheeseburger, I'm punching C Everett Koop in the face.

What Kind of Photo?

[edit]

What would an appropriate illustration for this article look like? Cheeseburgers? Obese people? Lawyers? U.S. Capitol building? Geoff (talk) 16:56, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about a cheeseburger being eaten by an obese person being eaten by an attorney being eaten by Uncle Sam in a neverending circle of consumption? 216.67.115.204 (talk) 22:53, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
