Why is this notable?

[edit]

Why is this an article? What has this person accomplished? Where are the independent third party references? Only her father's book is listed and her web site. This article is now tagged for deletion. Skywriter (talk) 10:11, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have rewritten the article and included sources as subject is now more notable. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 18:39, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Title in name

[edit]

usernamekiran has moved this article from Princess Noor Pahlavi to Noor Pahlavi. Seeing as Princess is a title and not an honorific, it does not apply to MOS:HONOURIFIC. Furthermore, it is her MOS:COMMONNAME as referenced in the press and media sources cited in the article. I would like to suggest a discussion on whether to keep the article at Princess Noor Pahlavi or to have it moved to Noor Pahlavi. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 20:44, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Willthacheerleader18: I understand your point now. I apologise for the confusion, and mess. But to preserve page histories, I will have to swap the pages again, as what you did is "copy-paste move". Would you please do the copy-paste move after I swap the pages? (I am on mobile) —usernamekiran(talk) 20:57, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 20:58, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First Pahlavi born outside Iran

[edit]

She is not the first member of the Pahlavi dynasty "to be born outside of Iran". Patrick Ali Pahlavi, for example, was born on 1 September 1947 in France. Pahlevun (talk) 16:21, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Harper's Bazaar, which is already cited in the body, states otherwise. "Noor Pahlavi is not your average princess. Daughter of Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince of Iran, and granddaughter of the late Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, she is the first generation of the distinguished family to have been born outside of Iran." [1] I assume Harper's Bazaar must mean her branch of the family, and not the entire dynasty itself. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 16:28, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So change it the way it reflects what the source meant. The phrase, "first member of the Pahlavi dynasty", is clearly wrong. Pahlevun (talk) 16:35, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Done. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 16:41, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
