Orphaned references in NBCUniversal

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of NBCUniversal's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 23:45, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Spinoff confirmed

[edit]

To quote the memo from Brian Roberts, CEO of parent company Comcast: Today we announced the exciting news that we intend to launch a new publicly traded company comprised of a strong portfolio of our cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Golf Channel, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and Sports Engine.[1] 2601AC47 (talk|contribs) Isn't a IP anon 13:09, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Long press statement here. Appears that the tentative company will be SpinCo; interesting choice of name. 2601AC47 (talk|contribs) Isn't a IP anon 13:23, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Only a tentative name for now, spin-offs in the business industry are named SpinCo in corporate press to start out with. Nate (chatter) 16:01, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Right... but should we get a new company article going? 2601AC47 (talk|contribs) Isn't a IP anon 16:02, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not right now...wait for much more to come, right now this is a section without true specifics (if we start an article on this now, the 'Universal Kids being sold to Scripps to become Qusproutbo' made-up crap IPs will give us headaches). Nate (chatter) 17:41, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
