Filming locations

[edit]

Part of the filming was also done in Mascouche and Vaudreuil, two suburbs of Montréal (Mascouche [part of Terrebonne] to the north-east, Vaudreuil to the south-west). I don’t have an online or printed source, so I can’t put that in the main article; I also wonder if, being suburbs of Montréal, they would count as distinct locations. My source is a delivery person associated with production, as I provided some articles that were used during filming. Apparently, the Future tower in Vaudreuil was recast as an FBI office (inside and possibly outside), and part of the former airport in Mascouche were turned into a minivillage where a mockup of the space shuttle was circulated. Some of the filming operations could be seen from neighbouring highway Québec A-25, which slowed traffic, so maybe some radio-show archives (online or not) could be used as confirmation. Jack McDevitt book

[edit]

Should we not mention, at least for redirection purposes, the Jack McDevitt novel of the same name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.142.45 (talkcontribs) 19:40, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Viral Marketing Campaign

[edit]

Moonfall seems to be backed by a viral marketing campaign masquerading as conspiracy theorists. It goes by the name of Moon Truth, and I discovered it personally through TikTok. TacVomit (talk) 05:16, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's a new low for Hollywood but it certainly fits the lowbrow approach of Emmerich flicks. Unfortunately not anything to put in the article (yet). 2A01:598:998C:BB5C:A0AC:B119:3AEF:BD14 (talk) 10:47, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

[edit]

Could somebody add a plot summary please that is more then the current hundred words? 66.8.144.12 (talk) 17:03, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@66.8.144.12: That's a "premise" based on existing trailers. We can't add a plot summary yet because the movie has not been released. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:09, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Audience response rotten tomatoes

[edit]

I suggest adding the audience score from rotten tomatoes since the website displays both audience and critic scores, assigning value to the critic score by excluding the audience score is a subjective choice Riheg (talk) 11:14, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Riheg, we do not include user ratings on Wikipedia per MOS:FILMAUDIENCE. The accredited polls are already included in the article, "Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "C+" on an A+ to F scale, while those at PostTrak gave it a 66% positive score, with 49% saying they would definitely recommend it." Page too kind?

[edit]

This movie is one of the biggest box office bombs in history, according to data aggregated on the "List of biggest box-office bombs" wiki page: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_of_biggest_box-office_bombs. There is no mention on this page of it being a box office bomb or a major money loser, only (charitably?) saying it "under-performed". Perusing some of the pages of movies that performed as poorly (or even better) most if not all note their status as a bomb or how much money was lost. 2601:188:CB81:8BE0:3141:C922:FD11:5DE3 (talk) 18:06, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
