Finnish translation
[edit]Untitled
[edit]Do we need to be told about the Finnish Translation of Doctor Who and the Cave Monsters on this page? I'll remove the reference unless anyone objects. Wwhyte 15:05, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, doing that now. Wwhyte —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwhyte (talk • contribs) 12:40, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Let's cut the paragraph and avoid the debate about whether Hulke was the first writer to endow aliens with individual personalities.
[edit]We can all agree that Hulke's work was well-known to be considerate and sympathetic towards the perspectives of a wider range of characters than other writers. But do we really need to go down the path this text is currently going, debating whether he was the "first" to give them individual personalities?
The observation is not cited, which makes it look like original research.
Any objections to heavy edit here? Sterlingjones (talk) 17:30, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- I view personality as something that is discernible through straightforward descriptive readings of the primary sources in a manner consistent with WP:NOR, so I think this paragraph can be salvaged. 96.39.62.90 (talk) 22:17, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- But the claim of first isn't. (That has gone) Nor the claim that his were the only since The Ark - I have tagged those. -- Beardo (talk) 01:03, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Nonsensical sentences
[edit]The subsection 'The Hidden Planet', in the section titled 'The Proposed Stories written for Doctor Who', contains the sentences 'The story was rejected by story editor David Whitaker on 2 February 1964 because Whitaker told Hulke work on the story for the departure of Susan' and 'It was also rejected again by script editor Dennis Spooner on April 1965, to outline the departure for Ian and Barbara, but was unable complete all the story drafts for the other three episodes', neither of which make any sense at all. 86.11.104.15 (talk) 21:23, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
