Date of Birth

[edit]

I can't find an exact Date of Birth at present, but can find good references that she was born in 1987. Also, theatre history suggests she is a former Roedean pupil - but not direct evidence for that, so I have not added it. Rgds, - Trident13 08:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(Maid) Marian

[edit]

The new series seems to refer to Maid Marian as just Marian now instead of a Maid.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/robinhood/characters/marian.shtml The Radio Times dated 7-13 Oct, page 14 paragraph 2 and page 16 paragraph 2 both explain this.

Also, tv.com says her DoB is 29/9/87 but I'm not sure how reliable that is, so I'll let someone else decide whether to add it in.

Disambig?

[edit]

There's another Lucy Griffiths, also a British actress, but now decased, and right now four pages referring to that actress link here. Clearly disambiguation is needed, but how to handle it when both have the same nationality and occupation? -- Aleal 04:31, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth may be an idea, I'm not sure. The Lord Of The Crayons 20:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Many Fans' Boycott

[edit]

As the person who keeps reverting this back in can apparently provide no evidence that many fans threatened to boycott Hood Series 3, can he or she please stop doing so? StuartDouglas (talk) 15:14, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Nottingham

[edit]

The BBC Nottingham source [1] attributes the statement about the Lucy Griffiths' departure from Robin Hood to the BBC, not Tiger Aspect. --Tony Sidaway 18:18, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To the person who keeps deleteing the fan e-mail part, it is true they said that, and on the BBC nottigham page, it says it is rumoured she wanted to leave to have a career in Hollywood. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oceanwhisperer (talkcontribs) 09:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actor's Personal Lives

[edit]

Unless you have actual source material which you can readily cite, please refrain from writing ambiguous statements such as "it is rumoured that so and so is dating so and so". It's inappropriate to comment on real people's personal lives, especially if said comments cannot be backed up with substantial proof. Alraccafe (talk) 01:15, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hopefully I have solved the problem now

[edit]

Lucy Griffiths (Born 1919): Lucy Griffiths Lucy Griffiths (Born 1987): Lucy Griffiths (II)

-- obviously, the first Lucy Griffiths should take priority, as she was around first. I have linked to the '87-born L.G. from the Lucy Griffiths page. Stephen King's "CREEPSHOW" - The greatest movie ever made! (talk) 17:35, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves again

[edit]

I asked a question on WP:Helpdesk and my suggestion is that we have the following articles:

  1. Lucy Griffiths, a disambiguation page
  2. Lucy Griffiths (actress born 1919)
  3. Lucy Griffiths (actress born 1987).

Apparently, this is the solution that is used when there is more than one footballer of the same name. It looks better to me than the current solution of the young LG being Lucy Griffiths (II). That comes from IMDB, but using the date of birth is more in line with WP practice.

If you have any objections, or other solutions, please feel free to propose them. Itsmejudith (talk) 20:59, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Location

[edit]

There is a bit a of a difference with this actress being that she is located in England. Most of the time this is apparent however not much is known about celebrities and their traveling. I'm sure perhaps that England is enough a large place to make a life, but there is no mention of her actually coming to the United States. I find this interesting. Maybe there is a certain issue here keeping the public eye in a certain field of focus regarding neighborhoods in England, houses, apartments, and such. In the U.S. it is much the same and am sure this is why biographies are the way they are when they mention Lucy Griffiths. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.235.154.42 (talk) 14:07, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Her TV Show

[edit]

On that show where she is lady marian, there is kind of a funny thing happening all the time. It's hilarious. You catch it at the end of season two. I bring this up because you think there might be romance to be had all the time. Not the case with her at least as far as I can tell. Like they are going to show that on tv. And if it were at the movies, don't you think people would know her by now?
