Dubious Information
[edit]Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I have added a new photo of Matthaeus. The previous photo was just "bad." --Reisender

Racing Club de Avellaneda
[edit]According to the renowned German sportsmagazine kicker, Matthäus has not signed a contract yet [2]. He is traveling to Argentina this week for talks with the club. --Jaellee (talk) 09:30, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Vs. Racing's official webpage, ESPN, TyC Sports, and renowned Argentine sports publication Ole. The last one makes light of the denials to the German media. Digirami (talk) 00:00, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- What a mess. If I understand Ole correctly, then he has a) not signed yet (waiting for his wife's approval) and b) he was deliberatly denying his talks with the club. --Jaellee (talk) 16:44, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Serious mess. Talk about whipped, too. Ole's article says he has accepted the position and has come to an agreement with the club, but won't sign on the dotted line until his wife approves. Maybe the text in the lead should say he has "tentatively" accepted the pos'tion as Racing's new manager. Digirami (talk) 21:49, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's not going to happen (Racing's website). Should there be a mention in the article that he was linked to a move to Racing? Digirami (talk) 21:17, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- kicker says the same. I'm against mentioning things that didn't happen, especially in his case. In June 2009 he was linked with FC Fehérvár and each time a coach is sacked in the Bundesliga Matthäus is named as a potential successor. The clubs he was linked with would make quite a long list. --Jaellee (talk) 21:41, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Splitting player career to "Club career" and "International career"
[edit]It is standard in other articles, and if nobody minds i would like to implement these subcategories here too. Greetings, Jon. Jonathan0007 (talk) 07:53, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
