I'm reviewing this page as part of WP:NPP, and I've already flagged it for having no sources, but as far I'm aware he can't actually appoint people until next year, and to be appointed they have to be approved by congress, so this list may be a little WP:TOOSOON or needs a language change from "this is a list of the appointments", if he hasn't really made them yet. I'm going to leave it unpatrolled for a reviewer more experienced with US politics. MolecularPilot🧪️✈️05:08, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree - this article is premature. We should move it into draft status or something, and then create an article that uses the same language in the title as articles that list ambassadors appointed during previous presidential administrations. The result of the move request was: Closed as move approved. Unanimous support for renaming the page to "List of ambassadors nominated by Donald Trump (2025–present)". TimeToFixThis | 🕒06:30, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nominator. It is not known for certain Donald Trump's presidency will end in 2029. It could end sometime sooner or sometime later. JIP | Talk10:29, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Result: The discussion has reached a consensus that "2025–present" is the more appropriate title, as it avoids assumptions about the end date of Trump's presidency. The move has been carried out accordingly.
