innovative

[edit]

I'm dubious about innovative. Was G really the first? These arguments are all tolerably obvious William M. Connolley (talk) 11:36, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The general arguments about the authority of scripture in science were bold. The specific argument about the interpretation of the Book of Joshua was completely original.Mccapra (talk) 12:03, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Possible mistake

[edit]

Nicolo Arrighetti is mentioned as being active in 1613. The Wikipedia article linked to on Nicolo Arrighetti says that he was born in 1709.

Another, called Nicola Arrighetti might be the one referred to. Nicola died in 1639 and might have been active in 1613. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.195.66.18 (talk) 06:27, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nicola Arrighetti might also have been called Niccolo Arrighetti. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.205.234 (talk) 06:39, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The second mentioned was born on 11/11/1586 and died on 29/5/1639. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.205.234 (talk) 06:42, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
He was also known as Nicolas and Nicolo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.205.234 (talk) 06:44, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes definitely a mistake. Thanks.Mccapra (talk) 09:55, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed it now with a new article on the correct Niccolò Arrighetti. Thanks againMccapra (talk) 12:44, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
