Did you know?

[edit]

The reference for the DYK hook for Kamila Skolimowska says "became the youngest Olympic champion in Sydney 2000 at 17y 331d." If this means the youngest to win a gold at Sydney, Sang Xue was younger. Could it mean the youngest to win the hammer throw at any Olympics ("youngest Olympic champion"), and Sydney is where it happened? This would correspond with the other lines of the reference, like "Youngest ever Polish champion" - which implies the context of a specific sport - but the hammer throw for women only started with the 2000 Olympics. Confused. Gimmetrow 11:31, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[1] says "youngest Olympic throwing winner ever". Gimmetrow 23:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
