Notability

[edit]

I disagree with Wikipedia's current stances about political candidates for statewide or federal offices but want to note that I am marking this page as patrolled as part of new page patrol in-line with current practices because of her notability as a teacher not because she is a congressional candidate. Early life and education

[edit]

This section has a duly sourced claim about Rep.-elect Hayes being born to a mother suffering from addiction, and raising a child after a teenage pregnancy. This is ostensibly a part of her early life, but placing it in that section - rather than in the Personal life section - makes me wonder if undue weight is being given to facts about her life which seem to confirm misogynoiristic stereotypes. I'm going to make an attempt to rephrase it and move it to Personal life. Airbornemihir (talk) 12:08, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Jahana Hayes

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jahana Hayes's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "General Election":

  • From 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Connecticut: "2018 Connecticut general election results" (PDF). Retrieved June 22, 2019.
  • From Bill Foster (politician): "General election results". Chicago Tribune. 2008-03-08.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:30, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
