This article has been checked against the following criteria for B-class status:
EnfantDeLaVilleadded "In 2023, Aqil was reported to be the commander of the Redwan Force, a special unit tasked with capturing Israel's Galilee region." The sentence has two sources at the end:
this article doesn't appear to mention Aqil at all, which means its usage here appears to be WP:SYNTH. It does say "« La conquête de la Galilée » est la raison d’être de cette unité depuis sa création par Imad Moughnieh, après la guerre de 2006." The words "the conquest of Galilee" are put in quotes, meaning the source is not using it in its own voice, which means we should not use it in our voice either. Further, its not clear at all that this is referring to "capturing" Galilee, which is certainly an WP:EXCEPTIONAL claim. The source would need to say a bit more about it.
@Vice regent: It now reads: "On 22 September, Israel's President Herzog was interviewed by Sky News, during the interview he said that the assassination was done to eliminate Radwan plans to invade the Galilee.[33]" → "33" = https://www.ynetnews.com/category/3089#b1fuhvttr → That 33-source has already disappeared into the "Orcus". That also needs better sourcing.

Move to Ibrahim Aqil (militant) - when we have more than one person of the same name we shoudl use the disambiguation page as the main redirect, otherwise this can lead to all sort of confusion. Secondly, the disambiguator should be the profession (militant) not the organisation (Hezbollah). Abcmaxx (talk) 11:04, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps currently because of the assassination but once a few months pass that may not be so clear cut. I doubt too many people have heard of him before and as with many militants his nototeriety will likely fade very quickly. Abcmaxx (talk) 07:07, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Note that I've move-protected the article for a week as I've just posted it to the main page. The admin who moves this page should also fix the resulting main page redirect at ITN as per WP:MPNOREDIRECT. I'm happy to do the moving if that's the consensus; please ping me. Should we change the images in many Hezbollah's commanders' articles, including Aqil, to be the more recent ones that are published by Hezbollah upon those members' killing?
Such changes would insure more clear and recent images of the individuals. But I'm putting this on the talk page to see wether some people would see those images as "glorifying" of some sort or have any other issues. RamiPat (talk) 19:45, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
