Music from The Idol / Ep 5 pt. 2

Why is there an edit war going between Music from The Idol / The Idol Episode 5 Part 2 as his last work, doesn't it seen obvious that Music from The Idol is considered his last "album" and Ep5 pt. 2 not? An o niem ja (talk) 15:59, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Release date

Unfortunately this nomination has to be a quick fail. The article contains three {{citation needed}} and is long way from meeting some of the criteria for a Good Article. Here are some issues:

The lead does not meet MOS:LEAD; it should be a summary of the article, and it contains information that is nowhere to be found later. The article is not clear and concise, having an abundance of subsections. Earwig's Copyvio shows Violation suspected with the highest at 77.3%, and other two with more than 40%. The whole story written for a video should not be copied and pasted here. Some sources are not reliable either; why are why referencing two entire sections to an Instagram fanpage? There are unsourced paragraphs too, such as under Release and Album covers. The article contains several unnecessary details. The long Pre-release campaign section is largely not relevant and could be merged into Promotion. How is the campaign with Apple relevant to this album? Why are the teasers presented as a bullet list? Why the performances have a subsection for each?

The article is also not neutral, not meeting WP:GACR6#4. It has a Metacritic score of 73 and seven reliable reviews below 70. Why it does not mention any of the mixed/negative aspects in the lead, and just one in the body? There are mentions of "hits" too. Most important: this album was released just a week ago, and as you can see in the article's history, it's still debuting on charts worldwide. So this is not stable, not meeting WP:GACR6#5. After the chart peaks end, this would also need a Commercial performance section, which is reasonably not present now. Additionally, the article is not updated either, with some things presented for the future and have already happened. For the illustrated criteria, it has a totally exaggerated number of three non-free album covers, and no other images. This violates WP:NFCCP#3 and 8.

Sorry for failing this, but it needs work and time to establish itself. I encourage you to see other Good Articles and familiarize yourself with the criteria. Variant Titles

When I'm writing this, there are currently 5 versions of the album listed (in the track listing section, primarily)—3 of them have defined names (00XO edition, Pharrell Williams edition, and first pressing physical). However, two versions have conflicting/undefined names: There is the 22-track version available on streaming, digital download, and CD/vinyl, and the 9-track version that (as far as I can find) is only available on iTunes.

In this article, the 22-track version is called simply Hurry Up Tomorrow in the Track Listing section, and in the infobox, listed as the standard cover. On streaming and digital download this is, again, simply called Hurry Up Tomorrow, whereas his webstore calls it the Complete Edition. I wouldn't say this discrepancy were an issue, if not for the 9-track version.

I added the 9-track version to the Track Listing section, and didn't know what to call it. I titled it iTunes 9-track, but it sounds awkward to me—especially considering that iTunes technically is Apple Music now, but when people think of Apple Music, they tend to think of the streaming service. This edition of the album is only available for digital download in the "iTunes" store. Also, both the 22-track and 9-track versions of the album are just called Hurry Up Tomorrow in the iTunes store, with no identifying "edition" titles.

What should we call these two editions? Does this seem like an issue to anyone else? Am I completely overthinking this? Grammar-style (talk) 01:25, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
