First international debut
[edit]According to this article found on the site of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Hilary Hahn made her European debut in 1994 at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music (I was there). I'd count this as her first international performance. 91.120.34.214 (talk) 07:42, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, that must be her European (and international) debut! — Mariah-Yulia (talk) 08:16, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Violin and Strings
[edit]Would you let me know the reliable source for this section? Within Japanese Wikipedia, it has become some arguments that this is reliable or not. I, personally, would like to translate this section into Japanese, but don't want to raise the discussion too. Who might be able to help me. Please give your information.Kosuzume (talk) 13:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Copyright violation
[edit]Hi, I suspect that a part of this article was copied from a website about people of German heritage living in Maryland. It could be that the website had copied its text from Wikipedia (as was the case with this website), but seeing as the other parts of the germanmarylanders website (in fact, most of it) was not copied from the Hilary Hahn article, it is a safe bet to assume that the Hilary Hahn article copied the text from the germanmarylanders website. Obviously, the references in there are not copied from the germanmarylanders website, so those can stay, but I think that the article in general needs a substantial rewrite. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? Icebob99 (talk) 23:59, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- Every sentence in the current article is tied to a reference, what fact, or sentence do you think was unattributed from that website? --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 01:57, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ), Nikkimaria addressed my concern at User talk:Nikkimaria#Help with copyvio. I originally thought that the references were added to the allegedly copyvioed text, but it turns out that the enterprising folks at germanmarylanders.org copied from us. Thanks for adding your comment. Icebob99 (talk) 03:05, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Needs an Awards section
[edit]Hi all. This article needs an "Awards" or "Awards and honors" section. Similar to that on Anne-Sophie Mutter's article. Softlavender (talk) 06:53, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Here is the Britannica entry: https://www.britannica.com/biography/Hilary-Hahn. Also, here is a 2016 Washington Post article I ran across: [1]. -- Softlavender (talk) 07:45, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Website is down?
[edit]Someone removed her website from the ELs because it is not currently working (http://www.hilaryhahn.com). Does anyone know if she shut it down or whether this is just a temporary outage? Softlavender (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
