Republican Convention?
[edit]The article says she attended the last Republican National Convention, in Colorado, before her death. Since she died in 1993, that would have been the 1992 Republican conention which was held in Houston, Texas. The Republican party has never held a national convention in Colorado. (The Democratic party met once in Denver, but that was in 1908.)

Not a fan favorite?
[edit]Why does the article say, "However, she never became a fan favorite"? As I recall, Helen Hayes was beloved by the general public.
I agree with you, and in the absence of any dissent since your comment was posted, I've removed that unsourced claim. 50.90.43.165 (talk) 13:22, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Who is Gish?
[edit]The article says "Gish made Hayes the beneficiary of her estate, but Hayes survived her by a month" - but who is Gish? And should it read "Hayes made Gish the beneficiary of her estate, but Hayes survived Gish by a month."?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.244.45.57 (talk) 07:14, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Year of Tony for "Happy Birthday"
[edit]The year she won the Tony for "Happy Birthday" in 1947 (not 1946) but I don't know how to change that in the awards box.
Reference: [1]
Also the year for "Time Rembered" is 1958 (not 1957)

Grammy award
[edit]Helen Hayes is on the list of people who have won an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy. The first three are indicated in this article, but there's no notation of what she won a Grammy Award for. Looking on Grammy.com, I see Ms. Hayes won a Grammy in 1976 for Best Spoken Word Recording for "Great American Documents". If anyone is interested in adding this in, here's the reference:
