Move to Deployable Operations Group
[edit]Deployable Operations Group (DOG) → Deployable Operations Group — The proper title of this article should be Deployable Operations Group. Parentheticals should not be used in titles except for disambiguation (not for alternate terms for the same subject). I merged in the other direction because Deployable Operations Group (DOG) had more content and both have an edit history. I'm not sure what the right thing to do here is, and likely couldn't do it without admin help anyway. —DragonHawk (talk|hist) 21:13, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Lead introduction
[edit]Hello,
I noticed the lead introduction using the past-tense word "was" very frequently, from my understanding these groups are still available if someone could clarify it. Thanks!Zacharysoto96 (talk) 21:40, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- The Deployable Operations Group itself is history, having been disestablished in 2013. Many of the individual elements that were included in the group still exist as separate units assigned to the Pacific and Atlantic Area commands. Cuprum17 (talk) 14:23, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
Source for MSRT?
[edit]Hello folks, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm just personally curious as to what the source is for the content under the Maritime Security Response Team pertaining to the Direct Action Section. If any of you could help me with that, that would be fantastic. I actually encounter this issue a lot on Wikipedia, where I don't see a footnote for a large chunk of text, and can't tell if there just isn't a citation, or if it's my own lack of knowledge of how the format works.
Remove the physical fitness standards section?
[edit]That whole physical fitness section seems completely unnecessary and out of place with the other information. Recommend removing it (especially since the DOG is no longer around).
