Carmen Dominicci was born as Carmen Lourdes Dominicci Ramos to a Cuban mother. Spanish naming convention puts the mother's name (surname) as what appears to Americans as a last name (Ramos). The father's name appears in her full name to be the middle name. In reality, Spanish surnamed people are properly called by only their first name and the father's name; hence, Carmen Dominicci. Please see [Spain and Hispanic areas] for this naming convention. Ronbo76 07:55, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi there I am Italian myself never heard of Dominicci surname being Italian, could you kindly prove this surname is Italian. Writing down she is Italian and you can't even prove it doesn't make sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.229.238.0 (talk) 15:52, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It would be nice to include a statement about her descent that includes both nationalities. I'd like to suggest we use, "Dominicci is of Corsican and Puerta Rican descent." In this way, the Corsician immigration link becomes prominent and links back to that article. Ronbo7602:29, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
