– To fit with the convention of every other countries' domestic teams, and international teams: e.g. Railways women's cricket team, Victoria women's cricket team, South Africa women's national cricket team. Even more so with the Project Darwin reforms from next year, with teams more likely to be presented as, for example, the women's cricket team of Somerset interchangeably with the men's cricket team of Somerset, rather than a separate entity called Somerset Women. I assume this is likely to be pretty non-controversial, but using RM anyway due to the number of pages involved. Mpk662 (talk) 13:03, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Without having checked, any that are the official or common name now should be kept. If that changes in the future then they can be moved at that point but it would be WP:CRYSTAL to move on the basis that something might become more common after something happens next year. Oppose for now, as it's too soon/WP:CRYSTAL to "know" that they will be rebranded this way from next season. Currently (as of the 2024 season) the team names include "Women" in them e.g. "Sussex Women", and so for now, these article names are correct. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:21, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some of these pages have now been moved, against the result of the above discussion. I've raised a technical RM to move the Essex women's team bak to its original name, but does there need to be a further discussion now? Bcp67 (talk) 16:43, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And all of the undiscussed moves were made by a user Sportzlove who is now blocked for disruption. Pkr206 we had a move discussion with consensus not to move right now, so unless something has dramatically changed which requires a new RM (which it hasn't in my opinion), then all articles should be moved back to match consensus. As per WP:RMUM, I have moved them all back to the names that they were prior to the RM which had no consensus to move any of them. None of these pages should be moved again without a WP:RM consensus to do so. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:17, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
