Thomas More is a Catholic, Flemish^[1] University of Applied Sciences, part of KU Leuven Association.^[2] It was founded at the start of academic year 2012-2013 by the fusion of Lessius Antwerpen, Lessius Mechelen and Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen. The administrative seats are located in Geel and Mechelen. The institution has 12 campuses, 20.000 students^[2], 2.000 employees and 250 researchers.

The university-college is named after Thomas More.

History

Thomas More was founded in 2012 and is a collaboration between Thomas More Kempen vzw (previously KH Kempen) and Thomas More Antwerpen-Mechelen vzw (previously Lessius). The two institutions remain two legally separate entities but sail under the same name.^[1] Both entities are independently vetted by the NVAO.^[3]

Studies

Thomas More offers courses for all ages, both full-time and part-time, during daytime or in evening school and also remote or hybrid. It offers Associate degrees, Bachelor's degrees, postgraduates and micro-credentials in 8 interest-areas.^[4]
