Draft:Sonny Bloch's Coralairs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sonny Bloch's Coralairs (AKA The Coralairs) were a musical group that was prominent in the Miami area during the late 1950's. The group's founder, Sonny Bloch, would later become well known as the host of a successful financial talk radio show, and subsequently, for an ensuing fraud scandal that would eventually lead to his imprisonment.

The Coralairs achieved a degree of local success from a handful of records that received airplay on local radio stations. Although their popularity was primarily limited to the South Florida market, they achieved some degree of national success in 1958 with their single "Buon Natale".[1][2] The song, an Italian themed Christmas song , was recorded by Nat King Cole, the following year.[3][4]
