Danish Nearshore Fish
[edit]These are many fish species that have been found within less than one and a half meter depths of denmarks coast.
- Sand Goby (Sandkutling)[1] Found on the seafloor, mostly around August[2].
- Common Goby (Lerkutling)[3] Easily confused with the Sand Goby and also found on the seafloor, this time mostly during July[4].
- Common Dab (Ising)[5] Usually only fry, also found on the seafloor, most commonly around March[6].
- Rock Gunnel (Tangspræl)[7] May be found in wrack, mostly during late July[8].
- Boradnosed Pipefish (Almindeling Tangnål)[9] Easily confused with other pipefish and commonly found in eelgrass and wrack, most commonly during August and September[10].
- Greater Pipefish (Stor Tangnål)[11] Also found in eelgrass and wrack.
- European Plaice (Rødspætte)[12] Found of the seafloor.
- Straightnose Pipefish (Stor Næbsnog)[13] Found in eelgrass.
- European Eel (Europæisk Ål)[14] Has been found in wrack.
- Corkwing Wrasse (Savgylte)[15] Found in wrack.
- Three-Spined Stickleback (Træpigget Hundestejle)[16] Found in wrack and eelgrass, but may be found swimming about.
- Fifteen-Spined Stickleback (Femtenpigget Hundestejle, Tangsnarre)[17] Found in eelgrass and occasionally wrack.
- Shorthorn Sculpin (Almindelig Ulk)[18] Found near Rocks.
- Longspined Bullhead (Langtornet Ulk)[19] Also found near Rocks.
- Common Seasnail (Finnebræmmet Ringbug)[20] Found in Wrack Reefs.
