Morning Glory is a Guyanese brand of breakfast cereal developed and introduce in 2017 by the Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST).[1] The product is an extruded cereal made with rice. It is the first cereal to be produced in Guyanese history.
Production
[edit]The main ingredients are rice and rice bran. These are combined with sugar, molasses, salt, baking soda and fortified vitamins. Besides baking soda and salt, the rest of the ingredients are sourced from Guyana.[2] The shape of the cereal is formed via extrusion and later toasted to develop its flavor.
