Manu gaspar is a Philippine activist with 28 years old, and have a lot of route in the fight in the human rights
Mission
[edit]He fight in a lot of causes in Philipines, for example the Manu stands up for youth at the bottom of the Philippines cultural, economic and political power structures. The LGBTIQ+ community inspires him, for this another mission in his life is the fight against the community rights He want the equality rights in the teenagers in this country.
He said "I have found hope through human rights activism. When I speak out about issues I am passionate about, I feel appreciated, like I am making a difference."
International amnisty
[edit]Since 2014, he has been worked as a volunteer in Inernational amnisty in Philipines, and a lot of proyect in this community, for example in the Youth Collective around the world.
His work and recent works
[edit]His work at University of the Philippines Manila focuses on improving healthcare access and systems thorough telehealth. He has worked for youth spaces at different levels: as part of the Amnesty International Philippines Youth Core Group, the Amnesty International Youth Strategy Review Working Group, and most recently the Asia-Pacific Young Human Rights Defenders Network.
Strengthening Hepatitis Care and Treatment at Primary Health Care Facilities in Vietnam and the Philippines (STITCH) Project (2022) Co-designing a patient-centred primary care strengthening model for Hepatitis in the Philippines, working with colleagues from Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA and Hanoi, Viet Nam.
Philippine Vaccine Effectiveness (PhilVE) Project (2022) Entering mid-way to provide data management and visual analytic support to a surveillance project estimating the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines used in the Philippines.
