Louise Victoria Tamez also known as LV Tamez (born 1981) is an American born author. Known for her anonymity and privacy, she has publish under several pen names, as well as ghost written projects for a variety of authors. Although she is most recognized as a YA fiction author, she has begun to explore other genres most recently, including science fiction/horror, suspense, and fantasy. She began writing from an early age and was first published at the age of 14. Although she had published several short stories and poetry, she completed her first novel, Lucid Dreams, at the age 19 while attending university but it was not published until several years later. Since then several of projects she has worked on have gone on to garner a variety of prestigious accolades. In April of 2024, she along with several authors and musicians contributed to a charity album called Singers and Storytellers that is set to debut in late 2025. She is currently rumored to be working on a new novel in collaboration with another author best known of his work the Mystery/Thriller genre.

Early life and Education

Louise Victoria Tamez was born in Laredo, Texas on November 19,1981.  Her parents were both educators and her mother was also a very successful business woman.  She is the middle of three sisters.  She attended the University of the Incarnate Word where she received several degrees.  Originally desiring to become a medical doctor, she studied Chemistry and Genetics.  Several years later she obtained a second degree in Business and Psychology and continued and completed her graduate studies in Business and Administration.  Her talent fro writing was recognized by her American Literature professor whom helped her parlay it into a second career.

Style and Influences

LV Tamez is most known for her contributions to YA fiction. She is sought after for her ability to develop strong and complicated characters. She is also known for lending her characters her dark morose humor and compacted relationships.

She has stated that reading the works of Mary Shelly, Edgar Allen Poe, and Lewis Carrol, as a teenager ignited her desire to write. She has often cited Mary Shelly as her original literary role model. As she got older her favorite authors included Stephen King, Anne Rice, and James Patterson.

She has also sated that although it is impossible to choose just favorite book, she has affinity to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Personal Life

LV Tamez is known for being private about her personal life. She currently resides in Texas where she is also holds a business partnership with her sisters. She is well known for her philanthropy. Her choice charities include but are not limited to Driscoll Children's hospital, Ronald Mc Donald House Charities, National and South Texas Food Banks, and Children's Miracle Network.
