Groupe Adéquat is a French company, headquartered in Lyon (France), that is specialized in the sector of human resources, especially interim and recruitment.[1][2]

History

In 1987, Jean-Marc Brun opened the first temp agency specialized in industry in Lyon. Ten years later, the company had eight agencies in the Rhône-Alpes region.

In 2007, Jean-Marc Brun reorganized part of his shares through a leveraged OBO operation. This capital restructuring allowed the entry of the Siparex Mid Market II fund, managed by Sigefi Private Equity, with a minority stake of 13.5%. Jean-Marc Brun and his executives retained 86.5% of the shares.[3][4]

In June 2010, Groupe Adéquat acquired 80% of the shares of Cotis Intérim. Also based in Lyon and founded in 2004, the company had 21 franchised agencies and recorded 35 million euros in turnover in 2009 with 55 employees.[5]

In 2011, the Adsearch subsidiary was founded, focusing on recruitment consulting.[6]

In December 2017, Groupe Adéquat acquired Totem, a Canadian recruitment company based in Montreal.[7][8] In August 2021, this subsidiary acquired the Quebecois company Bray, Larouche, and Associates.[9][10][11]

In February 2018, Groupe Adéquat announced the acquisition of Sigmar, a recruitment consultancy firm based in Ireland.[12][13]

In January 2019, Groupe Adéquat acquired Connect, a Dutch company specialized in technical temporary work.[14][15][16]

At the end of 2020, Groupe Adéquat acquired Skillflex, a recruitment agency based in Belgium.[17]

In October 2022, Groupe Adéquat became a partner in France of the American company G-P.[18]

In 2022, Arnaud Brun became chairman of the supervisory board of Groupe Adéquat.[19][20]

On July 3, 2023, Jean-Marc Brun, the founder of Groupe Adéquat, passed away.[21][22]

In 2023, Groupe Adéquat achieved a turnover of 1.3 billion euros.[23]

In July 2024, Groupe Adéquat acquired 78% of the shares of AxL Group, an Italian company specializing in HR services.[24][25][26] Massimo Rosolon retained a share of the capital and the presidency.[27][28][29]

Partnerships and sponsorship

In February 2017, Groupe Adéquat won the naming rights for the Tony Parker Academy. The partnership is planned to last twelve years.[30][31]

In November 2023, Groupe Adéquat became a partner of the Trophées des entreprises familiales (Lyon Decideurs) in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.[32]

Since 2014, Groupe Adéquat has been an official partner of the Lumière Film Festival .[33]

Since 2016, the company has also been a partner of the LDLC ASVEL basketball club.[34]
