The journal Challenges and Issues of Modern Science (Abbreviated key-title: Chall. issue mod. sci. Parallel title: CIMS. Online ISSN: 3083-5704)[1] is a peer-reviewed journal published by Oles Honchar Dnipro National University[2]. By Resolution No. 2633 of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting Of Ukraine dated August 29, 2024, the journal Challenges and Issues of Modern Science has been included in the Registry of Online Media as a electronic periodical academic multilingual publication, scientific journal. Media Identifier: R40-05435[3]. The journal has been included in the Register of Scientific Publications of Ukraine (IAS 'Ukrainian Scientific Periodicals') on November 18, 2024[4].
History
[edit]In December 2022, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University initiated the organization of the first scientific conference, Challenges and Issues of Modern Science, which was hosted by the Faculty of Physics and Technology in May 2023[5][6]. In June 2023, the first issue of articles resulting from the conference, also titled Challenges and Issues of Modern Science, was published[7].
After the second Challenges and Issues of Modern Science conference held in May 2024, the university submitted a formal application to the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, requesting the registration of Challenges and Issues of Modern Science as a scientific electronic journal[3][8]. In November 2024, the journal was assigned an ISSN[1], and its publication frequency was established as biannual.
Scope
[edit]The scope of the journal covers a wide range of topics and disciplines related to modern science. These include, but are not limited to: Aerospace Vehicles, Engines, Energy and Thermotechnics, Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering, Structural and Functional Materials, Integrated Automation Technologies and Robotics, Control Systems, Telecommunications and Navigation, Information Technology and Cybersecurity, Project Management and Leadership, as well as Ecology, Industrial, and Environmental Safety. The journal welcomes empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and practical applications that contribute to understanding and resolving contemporary challenges in science.
Aim
[edit]To explore innovative approaches and methodologies, foster interdisciplinary research and innovation across related fields, and publish high-quality contributions that advance theoretical insights, present novel experimental findings, and showcase applied developments. These efforts aim to address key challenges and drive advancements in diverse scientific disciplines.
