Anna-Caroline (Carolina) Nitsch (b. 18 November 1963) is a New York-based German art gallerist publisher. She is the owner of Carolina Nitsch Contemporary Art, a gallery specializing in prints and editions publishing
Early Life
[edit]Nitsch was born in Neuss, Germany, on November 18, 1963. Her father, Walter Nitsch, was a successful architect. Her mother Marion Forst Nitsch, was a clothing designer who worked for Prada Paris.
Career
[edit]While in New York City during her PhD program, Nitsch met gallerist Thea Westreich. The two quickly became friends and Nitsch joined Westreich's gallery one week after arriving in the city. In the early 90's, Nitsch became the director of Brooke Alexander gallery.
In addition, Nitsch serves on the selection committee for Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland as the editions sector expert. [1]
