Page move?

Should we rename this to "Templatization FAQ"? -- Pinktulip 13:22, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Book reference template

[edit]

Not sure where else to ask this. Maybe on the citing sources talk page. Just wondering what's up with the Book reference template? Why doesn't it translate data into a standard (not to mention intelligible) format? Take a look at the current Cantinflas article. The one source that uses the template looks terrible. Or am I dooing something wrong?--Rockero420 21:59, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bot that updates the cache?

[edit]

Hello. Do I understand correctly that there's a bot that updates the cache when templates change? Also, I've read a number of user discussions where redirects and templates are brought up as an issue (e.g. Wikipedia talk:Redirect#Section "Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken" suggested change). Can anyone here give us more information on this aspect of redirects? Thanks! Ewlyahoocom 20:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriateness of templates

[edit]

I'd like to see a section/general policy addressing the appropriateness of templates, since I lack the know-how to determine what's appropriate or not. I just know that they're big signs at the top of pages, and putting one up there might be a big action that sets off sparks (even if it's warrented.) Kennard2 01:44, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Using templates from other languages

[edit]

Can I put a template here from, for example, de:? It would look something like {{de:Vorlage:GeoTemplate}} --Steinninn 18:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
