Hi

Please be aware that there are certain style manuals available, each giving recommendations of how articles should be written, formatted and referenced. There is the general Wikipedia Manual of Style (MoS/MOS), Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style , and various ones with specific information pertaining to particular topics. For example the Wikiproject Film has their own - Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Film

Within the film MoS is a section on plot, which recommends "Plot summaries for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words". REducing the plot summary to 300 was possibly a little excessive. The last two sections have been condensed into one sentence "Reno kills Pamela and prepares to murder Carol" and stop before the end of the film.

I would ask that you attempt to restore some of the material, but if not I can easily restore it and trim it down myself.

After looking into it further, I have restored the previous version. Please do not see this as anything negative, it is merely intended to allow us a starting point to cut the plot down from - something which will be easeier than trying to add things back in again while referring to the diffs.

I also noted that the ref you added concerning the remake had a different name on it than the one in the article - that obviously needs looking into also. It may be that there were two intended remakes (or more), but we certainly need to ascertain which name(s) are correct and their proposed dates, and announcement dates, for the remakes. Another thing to remember is that selecting one name rather than quoting both is also a little dubious, if both are mentioned, both sohould be written in the article. More importantly, blogs are often not considered reliable sources by Wikipedia standards - WP:RS Chaosdruid (talk) 20:02, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Remake

[edit]

I was unable to find any information regarding a release of this movie on ProQuest (which archives magazine articles), but I did find information on the IMDB. Andrew Jones was attached to the remake, which was supposed take place in London. However, Executive Producers, the company in charge of the remake, and Abel Ferrara could not work out a contract. It looks like the remake is scrapped. I’ve read an interview where Jones says the project is more or less over. The interview is on MJ Simpson’s website (he is a well-know biographer of sci-fi and biographer of Douglas Adams). I don't think there are two intended remakes--I think the source may be misreporting the information. I've only been able to confirm that Andrew Jones is attached was attached to a remake of this movie.ValkoWhite (talk) 04:42, 18 January 2012 (UTC)ValkoWhite[reply]
