Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Tjmarketing", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it may represent a business or organisation name.. Hello Tjmarketing. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Basler Electric, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Tjmarketing. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tjmarketing|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Longhair\talk 20:28, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Basler Electric, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Tjmarketing, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tjmarketing|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Longhair\talk 20:43, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As this is a personal account, I have requested a username change as directed. For this specific article, I will disclose the employer affiliation related to corrections to the information. At present time, it is not allowing me to edit my user page.Tjmarketing (talk) 21:07, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thanks for your disclosure. It appears to have landed just fine at your userpage. As you have a conflict of interest with the topic of Basler Electric it is best practice for edits to the article to be requested via the article talk page to avoid any issues. If you need any assistance with anything mentioned above feel free to leave a message here and I'll do my best to reply with appropriate answers. -- Longhair\talk 21:13, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The request was rejected when filed. Please pick another username. If you specify it here I can change it for you. --TheSandDoctor Talk 17:50, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Tjmarketing, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized below.
Under Wikipedia's username policy, a username should represent an individual person. It should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights, being a "bot" account - unless approved, or implying that the account has any administrative or "moderator" user rights, or any kind of "power" or "authority" over other users); nor be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of an organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company" or "Mark at WidgetsUSA" is allowed, but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company". Among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy on paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. TheSandDoctor Talk 15:39, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
