Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on User_talk:Aggie80#Remodelers_Council. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The Ukulele Dude - Aggie80 (talk) 19:41, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to understand why we, as the 150 councils strong Nationwide has to do what none of the other associations has had to do. The other associations have one link and I gave several examples of the Remodelers Council.

Not advertising just what it is. One of the largest organization in the USA in construction. You keep saying it is Real Estate sites but it is not. Those are different Councils and what they do across the USA. I do not know if you are from The USA but the Remodelers Council is a subsidiary of the building industry. If this is the people's encyclopedia then I cannot figure out why I am being turned down and why it is not there in the first place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.119.155.217 (talkcontribs) 12:34, 6 April 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

The comment you received was

This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. What you can do: Add citations (see WP:REFB) to secondary reliable sources that are entirely independent of the subject.

Advertising was not given as a reason for declining your article. The final sentence explains what you can do to fix the problem. Only one of the sources you're currently citing is independent of one or more Remodelers Council, and that one says nothing about the councils, it only identifies a person who the article quotes as a council member. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:16, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That is true. they all act individually of one another under the Umbrella of the Remodelers Council. That is why I gave the sites. Each one lends their expertise to various magazines and local government entities to make the rules so that the general population is safe in regards to contractors work. How do I say this then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terryakiwiki (talkcontribs) 13:22, 6 April 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't a directory. Also, see WP:ELMINOFFICIAL. And you still have to address the issue of not having any references that do help establish notability. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:19, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Terryakiwiki, I noticed your article was declined at Articles for Creation, and that can be disappointing. If you are wondering or curious about why your article submission was declined please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there!

I will just find references and I got the point now. Wikipedia is just not familiar to me and I am learning your lingo. This is a large part of what is going on in the USA. Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia for that purpose. Feel free to write it up. I need another reference! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terryakiwiki (talkcontribs) 14:39, 6 April 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, User:Terryakiwiki/sandbox

[edit]

Hello Terryakiwiki. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Terryakiwiki/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 01:47, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
