Adult Swim Video.

We need to work together and expand that article so it can avoid deletion. Get a few friends, search Google for news on it, and we will all help to make that article into the best that it can be. dposse 17:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Just because it has a long O sound, does not mean that it needs a macron. Even in the ja wiki of the series, his name does not have a macron, but rather, it is expressed as ベッコウ, which is "Bekkou" (while some names are represented with a macron; like with Akatsuki Yūri, which is expressed as (アカツキ ユーリ)). If it was ベッコー, then it can be romanized as "Bekkō", but it's not (in both cases). DarkAngel007 04:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I'll change it back to "Bekkō". I'm not really one to debate too much. >.< DarkAngel007 05:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for helping out getting Suzuka (manga) article to GA status. (Duane543 03:45, 10 August 2007 (UTC))

Category deletion

Hi there, I saw you beat me to it: Category:Aya Hirano anime should be deleted.

Could you also take care of the following cats created by the same user:

They clearly fall under 'overcategorisation' and POV. I'd do it myself but am not so familiar with the process and a bit busy today :). Ninja neko 09:33, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I am still working on the Mamiko Noto page. I will incorporate all your changes, but if possible, please do not update anymore at the moment because it is quite the hassle to sift through the differences of my pending changes and yours. I do appreciate your help however, and would gratefully accept your edits and further translations when I have updated more sections in the entry. When I'm done with the second part of the overhaul, I will let you know here in the talk page. Thanks. (Willsun 12:17, 01 October 2007)

[UPDATE:] The rest of my additions to the overhaul are complete. I may have forgotten to implement the "Western name order" from one of your earlier edits, but am not entirely sure where that change is. Thanks again for your help in the Mamiko Noto entry, and I hope you can continue to help translate more of the uncertain names and titles. (Willsun 01:06, 06 October 2007)

When you say "You say repeatedly that you are against shortening the article", are you talking about me or R.G.? I just wanna make sure.--Nohansen 17:27, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

He's at it again. [1].--Nohansen 19:36, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Now,as I believe I stated elsewhere, the so called "production" section has one glaring error.Namely:there is NO Ran manga. It wouldn't make any sense. R.G. 20:20, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

To answer your question : I just don't believe in having solid information replaced by inane comments. That's all. - R.G. (talk) 05:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Reading in English

Do you know how to read this in English, ヴォートル ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.212.7.86 (talk) 22:49, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

I assume this is from SoltyRei? Sorry, but having not seen the show, I wouldn't know anything past the transliteration of Vōtoru, and I'm not going to just guess at official English translations, either. TangentCube, Dialogues 06:37, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
It seems to be a transliteration of the French word "votre" meaning "your". Example-- 10:03, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Japanese Translation and English Pronounciation

  • 今川靜也 - name from LOOPCUBE
  • Japanese title songs:
    " ? " (ロマンスに秒読み; Romansu ni byōyomi)
" ? " (だからkiss again; Dakara kiss again)
    " ? " (泣き虫のマーメイド; ? )
    " ? " (いい娘ではいられない; ? )

Do you know? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.212.7.220 (talk) 10:26, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I can't do reliable translations, but the transliterations are probably as follows:
  • name: Seiya Imakawa (今川 靜也, Imakawa Seiya) (source: home page, click "About")
  • song 3 rōmaji: Nakimushi no Māmeido
  • song 4 rōmaji: Ii Musume de wa Irarenai

Thank you, this helps a lot. You helped me narrow down my work. Hope to write discussions with you again! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.212.7.39 (talk) 16:13, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Lol I was just about to change that title. Did you see it on Adult Swim? It is actually "To the Sheer Level of Madness", I have the tape paused and am looking at it right now. 76.16.187.218 (talk) 00:48, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

I forgot to write it down when I saw the title card, and missed the credits roll, so I went to the Adult Swim website; whoever wrote that up must have transposed the words. Thanks for the fix. TangentCube, Dialogues 02:22, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

So if AniDB is bad

Then the template for it shouldn't exist anymore, should it? This was where I got the idea to try and add a link. --BrokenSphereMsg me 02:37, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Romanji Check

Hi! You seem to good understanding of romanji and have corrected some items in entries I've worked on before, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to check the romanji titles for the novel list in Fushigi Yūgi and List of Fushigi Yūgi episodes? I generated them using the Kanji Converter, but it doesn't seem to always to some of the specialized characters correctly? Collectonian (talk) 21:29, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Rurouni Kenshin

Hello Im tintor2 and I would like to ask if the reference you changes in the reception part should be deleted completely? (the one of spectrum nexus). Regards.Tintor2 09:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I request that you reevaluate your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nuku Nuku Dash. The article has been heavily expanded from the one line stub when the AfD began and is at a point that I feel it can stand on its own. --Farix (Talk) 04:01, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Romanization

It's the experience I had at Branded to Kill. I was told that unless something is a proper term, it should be left uncapitalized in Romaji. Which makes enough sense, since generally things like capitalization aren't even implied in Japanese.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 02:57, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Category by year

Wondering if this done on purpose (I have partially reverted you there). I've seen users add the "Anime of (YEAR)" but keep the television debut cat. Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 04:40, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, I did do it on purpose, as I thought it was redundant at the time, but that was probably a poor decision, so I don't mind the revert. I haven't yet gone back through my older subcategorization edits, so if you find anymore, go ahead and restore the other cats. TangentCube, Dialogues 05:51, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Did you plan on going back and checking the edits anyway? That would save me the heap of trouble of looking through all of this. Or I could see one area whilst you see other. Reply? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:55, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, after I finish up with the S titles. Which should be soon. TangentCube, Dialogues 06:56, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Let me know here where you may need assistance, just in case. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 07:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

ISBN format

The ISBN format I put in Template:Graphic novel list/doc is the one given by the official site's converter. I know that isn't the only format, as US books do 978-4-000-00000-0 instead, but I think we should at least have the documentation reflect the one the convert would give, since we note its usage. Alternatively, maybe a note indicating there are several ways to format? Collectonian (talk) 05:54, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Edward Elric

I have adding out-of universe info to Edward Elric and cleaning some parts of the article, incluiding change to present tense. If you would like to help you are welcome. There are some sections that still need to be expanded. About conception I found this and this. I suppose there are also some books from Fullmetal Alchemist with conception information. Since my english is not very good I wont be able to help with conception. The point of all this clean up is taking the article to GA. Well, regards.--Tintor2 (talk) 22:36, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Macron issues

Well, I'm still not familiar when to add macrons, so I tend to just add them when an official English translation is unavailable, but I'm curious as to whether the following should be macronned:

梁山泊 - "Ryouzanpaku" or "Ryōzanpaku"
風林寺 - "Fuurinji" or "Fūrinji"
岬越寺 - "Kouetsuji" or "Kōetsuji"

Those are from the List of Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi characters article, and someone changed them to the unmacronned versions, so I thought I should be sure before reverting it (or not). If you're unsure, is there someone else that could help with it? Thanks for the help in advance. DarkAngel █▀▀007▄▄█ 05:42, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Eureka Seven Blue Triology

I figured sourcing the Blue Triology Part would be better then leaving it there with no sources. Now I admit it's not the best source, but I also don't want that whole trivia section being deleting it is still useful. So my question to you is this, why would you delete a source? It's a bad source, but that is one place where the information about that subject has been taken from, so why not source it so people understand that it comes from somewhere? - Prede (talk) 06:03, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Well like I said I was only sourcing what was already on the artcile. I figured ANY source is better then no source. I say leave the trivia section there. The reason I was sourcing it, was so there was SOME merit to that trivia, now it looks like someone just made it up(but they didn't). Ah whatever. I posted this on my talk page as well. - Prede (talk) 03:43, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

ISBN Hyphenation

Hey, I just noticed a week or so ago you fixed ISBN-13 hyphenation for List of Hunter × Hunter chapters. Can you tell me where the rules for this come from? Besides the first three numbers being always separate, I've seen lots of different variations on where the hyphens are. -Zyrxil (talk) 19:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Fullmetal Cds Drama

Hi. I have no idea what are those Fullmetal Alchemist cds drama but I got info in this official japanese site. Could you expand that it since I dont know japanese? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 17:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Do you know a non-commercial site for the novels? Tell me and I will change the refs.Tintor2 (talk) 01:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Do you think that Homunculi should be moved from characters to terminology?Tintor2 (talk) 16:05, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

And, I forgot to ask you something? Any idea what are those cds drama about? That section needs to be rewritten. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 16:37, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

The problem is that there are like 10 homunculi counting both manga and anime. The only homunculus I can see very important in both manga and anime is King Bradley. So, homuculi may be moved to terminology (I will expand it a bit). Now, I was thinking in adding one or two characters to main characters. Do you think who may enter in that category? (King Bradley, Izumi, Hohenheim?). Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 17:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I reverted it. I would like to leave it as the character section of Wolf's Rain. Do you agree? About using "voiced by", how are going to do this with dante who has two voices?Tintor2 (talk) 00:28, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

I meant that they use the title character with the text. An example would be:

"Edward Elric (エドワード・エルリック, Edowādo Erurikku?), often nicknamed "Ed" is the main protagonist of the series."--Tintor2 (talk) 01:00, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

About the terminology, do you think some terms can be removed? I mean we have a part of the transmutation circle that could be merged in alchemy. The blood seal, is a human transmutation? Ed lost his arm while performing it. If it is true I think it should be merged within human transmutation. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:56, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

No problem with the terminology refs, I can add them in five seconds (well, maybe a bit more...). I added a art and guidebook section to the article. It may require some grammar fix (English is not my first language). Regards.--Tintor2 (talk) 20:47, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Do you think we could add to terminology Amestris and there put state alchemist and ishval? Those articles will never survive to an AFD so adding all those terms to the main article may be the best (obviously in a short way).--Tintor2 (talk) 14:09, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Is Ishval a location of Amestris? A big confusion I have--Tintor2 (talk) 14:18, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I will be making it. There are some references that I couldnt add page beacuse I dont have the volumes, however I added chapter *(page *). Could you add them (I think they are only two)?--Tintor2 (talk) 17:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok.--Tintor2 (talk) 22:26, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I have been adding some terms and cleaning them. However, they seem to become longer. Maybe later, we may merge some terms as a subsection of terminlogy ===. Any idea what terms may be joined? I was thinking (Alchemy and Human Transmutation, Amestris and Ishval, but what about the others?)--Tintor2 (talk) 14:33, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

I didnt remember that we could redirect automail and all those term Fullmetal Alchemist#Terminology, so I abandon that idea.--Tintor2 (talk) 13:14, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Blood the Last Vampire novel

The reason I kept the 'g' intact in Shanghai Aibyou is because many people I've shown the title to who speak Japanese are under the impression the title was purposely written in Chinese (since the story takes place in Shanghai). I've asked many of my friends who speak Japanese to translate the title, none of which were able to. I finally posted it in a Chinese message board and they quickly translated the title as A Tragic Dream in Shanghai. Do you think the 'g' should be left off anyway?
