[edit]Hello, I'm Pratyya Ghosh. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Sue Bredekamp because it did not appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Pratyya (Hello!) 11:50, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- I noticed you blanked the article with no explanation - I've gone ahead and WP:PRODded the article for deletion, since it doesn't have any appropriate sources. For your future reference, Wikipedia:Deletion policy explains how to go about deleting articles which you think might be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. --McGeddon (talk) 12:38, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
Making points
[edit]Looking at your edits, I see that you've blanked some improperly sourced material in response to someone deleting your own on the same article, and have now dropped Sue Bredekamp from a list (after blanking her article), when someone reverted a name you added to that same list because the person didn't have an article.
Please don't disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. If there's a problem with your edit and you can't fix it, either ask for help, or leave it alone. --McGeddon (talk) 12:48, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

A more personal welcome
[edit]Susiedarling - you somehow missed out on a formal welcome when you began editing here, so I've placed one above. But from me now, informally, welcome, especially to someone who seems to know a bit about Scouting.
But there's one rule that you need to know about, particularly in regard to your editing at Scouts Australia. New content must be reliably sourced. That material you added about Charles Smethurst Snow must have a citation attached pointing all readers at the secondary source(s) that tell us all about him. It's no good just telling us in an Edit summary that sources exist. So,can you please add a source? HiLo48 (talk) 22:17, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
What are you up to? HiLo is totally correct. You need to add a source, but you just reverted his change. You then totally blanked Scouting and Guiding in Australia, the kind of general article that exists for every country. Why? --Bduke (Discussion) 23:26, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Child advocacy, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page.Your recent edits have been disruptive. First, adding 3200+ characters to an article is hardly minor, which is exactly what you called it in your edit summary. If you want to be taken seriously, don't lie to your fellow editors, with whom you must collaborate. When an addition you have made to an article is removed, the proper thing to do is start a discussion on the article talk page, not just put it back. See WP:BRD. Additionally, everything you added to the article was unreferenced. Everything in Wikipedia must be verifiable to reliable secondary sources. That does not mean every word has to be referenced, but certainly 3200 characters worth of words do. The editor that removed your edit was perfectly within his rights to do so and lastly, your note to the editor that did so was out of line. I will leave you some links which may help you understand how Wikipedia works, and a link to a place where newer editors can ask questions to clarify whatever they do not understand.
